EXCLUSIVE Duff put in charge at gers!

|

Administration, 10 point deduction, Whyte in the Shh!te, Ally up the swally.

Thats right judgement day finally came and it felt good to be a Celtic fan.

We are 14 points officially clear of our rivals with paddy power and other bookmakers officially paying out on us being champions.

My view is we need to keep calm and carry on the run, ignore the ever swallowing tide itching its way up the necks of our foes on the wrong side of the Clyde.

The focus should be on whats happening on the pitch with our Bhoys and what fixtures lay ahead. Its clear what our lads need to do, keep performing, keep getting the points in the bag and take no notice of what is going on over our shoulder.

Scouring the net for a few stories I came across a scotsmans piece on the gers and this snippet gave me food for thought.

Courtesy of the scotsman: –

“Following legal debate HMRC accepted Duff and Phelps as administrators, and their appointment was confirmed shortly before 3pm.”

Well I can only imagine why Phelps and Duff have been put in as administrators. Its obvious the gers have finally caved in and took on a super tag team pairing to sort the dismal array out.

Phelps because he can swim obviously against any tide and Duff because hes experienced and excels with finances having had big money dealings in contracts with Blackburn, Newcastle and recently Fulham.

The shocking news is rangers may not even be able to face Killie in their upcoming fixture. According to the scotsman also: –

“An element of doubt was immediately raised over Rangers’ next SPL game, against Kilmarnock at Ibrox on Saturday, as Strathclyde Police sought assurances they would be paid for policing the event.”

I can only start to imagine that without the possible gers backhander not going to its usual destination of the Strathclyde police, it means Killie fans will not get the usual rough treatment from them.

On the plus side it means gers closest rivals Motherwell could gain more ground on them to that exclusive 2nd placed position that rangers are holding onto so tightly.

In other news, and finally. . . a Celtic fan has released a song over a Queen track, ironic seeing as it is her HMRC after the gers but anyways, pull up a pew turn the volume up and dance away Bhoys. . . comments afterwards as always. . .

You’re spot on that there’s no need for complacency; it’s only 14 points, I’m sure I remember a side in Scotland that’s already let a bigger lead than that slip this season… 🙂

All this controversy and Whyte still hasn’t told anyone what he’s been doing.

    Hi,

The supposed financial expert didn’t knwo much about the situatino at all. Here are some key points.

HMRC objected to Whyte apponting the Administrator as being contrived because the person Whyte has brought in helped Whyte get control of the club 9 months ago. There is even a nice picture of them in the stands listenening intently as Whyte holds court 9 months ago.

Whyte can only do this because until the Tax case is decided Whyte is the largest creditor. Whye only enjoys that position because he moved 18m of TSB debt from Rangers account to a company he set up. The money used to pay for this is widely belived to be from the 24m tickitus money which is effectively 4 years of fans season tickets mortgagued off.

Murray is to blame for the tax case but adminstration is down to Whyte mismanagement of the club over the last 9 months including an additional 9m he hasn’t paid in tax and vat since then. All this against the backdrop of now financial figures for the year and no explanation to where the money has gone.

Everyone knows what the tax case is and why it has happened. The real story is what has Whyte been doing in the last 9 months. Through the ticketus deal and the sale of Jelavic he has brought in 30m yet hasn’t been paying the bills.

The real story is where has the money gone?

Duff & Phelps just sounds like a Las Vegas show involving exotic snakes. My head is still mince. I really cant take it all in.

I’m not enjoying it. The media are spinning lies about the cause and the aftermath. They are still peddling the agenda.

    We need to stop that.

  • Oz Celt says:

Totally agree Sean. I have said all along we need to stay focused on what we are doing.
Let them wallow in their own muck.
Strange how we keep getting dragged into it, I don’t recall any questions being asked of Rangers viabilty in a league without Celtic when we were faced with being wound up.
Let’s just keep winning where it matters,on the park. Because one thing is for sure they are not going to go away, the powers that be just won’t allow it !.

Now we will really see the wagons circling…
Every trick in the book….every positive spin they can come up with…more smoke and mirrors…the “Establishment” ( Media, Brotherhood, SFA) ..you know who they are)will now go into over-drive to protect this “Institution”…be prepared.
Only “objection” to the article Sean is……
Motherwell trying for second spot ??….
Not if McCall can help it….
    Once a Ranker…always a Ranker.

I too have vivid memories of 1994 and seem to remember so called journos gleefully talking of Rangers moving onto another level. Celtic were being referred to as an irrelevance, Minty had bigger fish to fry, Ronaldo was coming and there was as much succulent lamb as you could eat. The whores of the Scottish press sold themselves to be at Murray’s table. If they had any integrity they would all resign.
I only hope that Peter Lawwell et al have as long memories as the Celtic support and treat these clowns with the contempt they deserve.
Their club has ceased to exist as it was before. They can no longer rely on an easy life as long as they give Rangers an easy ride. Rangers have no power. Celtic should put them in their place. Refuse access to those who have besmirched the good name of our club. Literally, put them out of a job.
