I’m sure it’s not a nice sensation seeing the club you love being involved in a daily pantomime and it’s internal organs being poured over the proverbial mortuary slab that is the MSM.
It must even be worse that after years of good press, turning a blind eye and feeling that you are above the law to see this eroding before your eyes as authorities line up to punish you.
Alistair McCoist showed all the emotions of a man hurting in the interview below when he had a go at the SFA who handed out a £160,000 fine and banned R*ngers from signing players for a year.
“Plain and simply, I think it is an absolutely shocking decision.”
“I found out the decision last night and I was shocked and absolutely appalled by the way this supposedly independent judicial panel was coming down on us in this form.
“Who are these people? I want to know who these people are. I’m a Rangers supporter and the Rangers supporters and the Scottish public deserve to know who these people are, people who are working for the SFA.
“Make no mistake about it, this is an SFA decision. They have appointed the panel so therefore they are working for the SFA, but who are they?
“In terms of our supporters, again they have received another kicking and we just feel it’s time to start fighting back. You can guarantee we will be fighting back.”
The interview came out in the week that a prominent R*ngers fan said Neil Lennon had heaped more shame on the Scottish game than his club.
McCoist knows the demographic and intelligence of the majority of his support. This is pure saber rattling. He uses intimidating and threatening language while questioning the integrity and demanding to know who the panel are insinuating some plot or conspiracy.
His comments have made the panel targets to the yahoo’s. It’s rumoured that one has already been threatened.
