Injustice In Our Time: Euan Norris & Victor Wanyama or Joe Ledley

|

I have been told on numerous occasions today – against accepted conventional wisdom – that two wrongs make a right. That a marginal offside (the kind of decision that is missed week in week out) is the same as a panicked decision when a professional referee forgets the laws of the game and goes with the desperate shout.

The Law says

Hand ball. Law 12. The ref must consider : movement of hand towards ball ( not ball towards hand ) distance between the opponent and the ball

Mr Norris in his panic hasn’t considered any off this.

There was plenty of other reasons – that will be discussed in another blog – why this decision cost us but forgive me for being petty over such a ridiculous decision that ended our season.

The legacy of Dallas and his fast-tracking lives on. The standard of referee in this country has reached an all time low.

The people who make these appointments would disagree…
They’re at an all time high as far as they’re concerned.
    Cheatin bastarts….

If referees have no agenda, then why are the likes of Dallas, Winter, Clark, McDougall and all constantly in the press berating Neil Lennon and /or Celtic for commenting on sub-standard refereeing ? Even ex-Celts like Owen Coyle and Andy Walker who know what Celtic have to contend with have gone to press claiming Lennon is out of order for speaking his mind. I put a different interpretation on it. These people are cowards and inveterate forelock tuggers. They are afraid of Lenny’s courage in fighting for higher standards within the Scottish game and the administration of it. They are still doffing their caps to the ludge members of the big hoose even now and will continue to do so, such is the cowardice. I say keep on doing what you are doing Lenny. The bastards are jumping fences to defend their cheating and have a go at you, but they are also exposing themselves the more you draw them out. GBNL YNWA

I agree Johnny. Keep on Keepin on Lenny.
The days of our grandfathers is over. No more keeping quiet. No more ‘Oh well we just have to score three goals in every game to make sure that we win’. This is crap. The rules are the rules and apply to every team.
Mistakes will be made but for this amount of ‘mistakes’ to have been made in such a short period of time defies belief. Either the referees have an agenda (this is obvious) or they really are far too incompetent to be allowed to referee football games (sorry I genuinely don’t believe they can possibly be this bad). Either way sack the lot of them, employ new staff.
If any of us were so poor at our jobs (at 800 quid a week, 42,000 a year for a part-time position!) we would fully expect the sack. This is what Celtic should be insisting on. Repeated under-performance should result in dismissal.

At least the refs in this country are defended from the criticism that the Celtic management dish out. Why can`t they take it on the chin? 🙂
