The Demonisation Of Neil Lennon: Part 3

Iain Brines is probably the only man in Scotland that welcomes Wullie Collum’s involvement in the SPL. As long as Collum is spreading his brand of officiating then Brines can lay claim to be the second worst referee in the country.

Fat Sally was involved in an altercation with Brines after serial diver Sone Aluko was denied a penalty against Motherwell. It was the perfect case of the boy who cried wolf once to often.

Fat Sally said:

“I’ve gone to see the referee and asked for a chat and Iain was great, he let me into his room and we had a wee talk about it. He saw it as simulation. I, of course, didn’t.

I said to Iain I can totally understand referees not giving penalties, that’s part and parcel of the game, but I feel for the kid because that’s a booking for simulation yet he’s got a big stud mark on his thigh, which indicates there was contact.”

Iain Brines was part of the officiating party last week who refused our manager a discussion after the match regarding decisions made during the game (and at half time).
