  1. “Hunageddon”, ha !

Fan power is starting to play a part here. Wonder why the Newco decision was delayed ?

Maximum admission is a good idea. The “importance” of the Sky deal has been pure scaremongering. As I’ve mentioned before, and as borne out by your analysis, a little creative thinking would largely plug that hole.

    1. Sky / ESPN haven’t said a word. They have schedule’s to fill and have been known to show any old shit.

      That’s what the SPL is.

I’m sure the Beeb would also give is a deal worth £500,000 to each team to go inbetween Eastenders and homes under the hammer on a sunday.

  2. The reason why a business is liquidated is because they can not pay their debts. That means the business no longer operates and all the assets are stripped to pay the creditors as much back as possible. Most creditors are usually out of pocket because the assets usually can not account for all debts owed.

Any Rangers Newco would need to start from scratch. They would need to apply for a membership license for entry into the Scottish Football League. To do so they will need to have a viable product which will entail signing new players from scratch on new contracts as the players from the liquidated Rangers Oldco would automatically be free agents.

The Newco would need to find a stadium to play at. Presumably Ibrox would have been auctioned off to the highest bidder a process that would take months so the stadium would be unavailable during the time leading up to the open auction.
The Newco would therefore need to find a completely new pool of players, and would need to find a stadium to lease, presumably Hampden Park? The organising of this would normally take a couple of months. Perhaps the SPL will delay the start of the season to allow the Newco time to get itself organised up and running?

If the Newco Rangers is allowed to compete in the SPL, then they will have to accept the sanctions imposed on them for their malpractices. This means they would be playing with a team full of has-beens, youth players and plodders handicapped further by the leagues automatic penalty points deduction, relegation at the end of the first season would not be out of the question.

Should the Newco Rangers find themselves relegated, presumably the SPL would cheat once again to accommodate the cheats by restructuring the league to 14 teams thereby allowing the Newco to remain in the top flight.

Meanwhile Ticketus will have a protacted ongoing legal battle with Craig Whyte trying to recoup the 27 million they are owed for season ticket sales and no doubt the Newco may be dragged in to these proceedings.

The Tax man will presumably be investigating the criminal activities of previous board members of Rangers Oldco and jail time could be a possible outcome for men previously and currently revered throughout the masonic underground of Scottish football.

Any team with European ambition must have had 3 years audit-able accounts so in the unlikely event they managed to find themselves in a European qualifying place, the Newco Rangers would not be able to play in Europe (its amazing but we are used to the results bent referees can conjure up).

Perhaps I’m wrong – maybe the scenario I’ve painted will be a lot worse for the huns. The red whyte and blue circus rolls on and I, like most other true Tims are loving every minute of the slow deatch of Rangers FC.

One word sums it all up, KARMA

  3. Those groups and individuals are going about things all wrong. They should be bidding for the stadium first. They may get it dirt cheap and the football club would eventually fall into their hands.
    Don`t tell them. 🙂

    1. I’m sure Craigy Whyte knows this to be the case as well. Hence the fact that he hasn’t dealt yet. His shares are worthless. The assets arnt.
