Coffee & Tv: Some Clips, Interview With Lennon & Twardizk After Augsburg

The first Coffee & Tv of the season and guess what? It’s goalless.

Celtic started their pre-season in West Bavaria with a game against Bundesliga relegation favourites, FC Augsburg, who surprised everyone last season by surviving and even former manager Jos Luhukay who promptly left after saving them from relegation citing poor club ‘prospects’ as the reason.

4500 turned out at the Stadion Stauferpark to see a bore score draw. The only interesting points were the new top looks ok on Yous Tube but the black socks will take some getting used to. It really does look like we should be watching it on grainy sepia coloured footage. James Forrest leading the team out still looks like a mascot got lucky and Double F was refulgent in Tour De France yellow when charging about his box.

Our manager post match said: “We were a bit rusty” and your Filip Twardizk spoke about the team being: “not ready”.

That really comes as no surprise at this stage of pre-season.
