“To come through unscathed, we have to be happy with that.
“You always want to win but, in the end, the way we salvaged the point was good.
“I think some of them were going through the motions to tell you the truth.
“We had 11 players missing, four of them front-line strikers, but I am not using that as an excuse.
“We missed good chances, easy chances and realistically we should have won the game.

“There were three minutes of injury time and I don’t know where that came from. We didn’t make any substitutions and there wasn’t an injury in the second half.
“The assistant referee told me it was because the ball didn’t come back quick enough.
“Well, I’m sorry, that’s just life. We are not allowed ball rotation in the SPL so why would he add a minute-and-a-half for that? I have no idea.”

We were like a tiger that had it’s teeth knocked and there are more creative toddlers in every nursery up and down the country. We were so pedestrian that planning permission had to be put in to Highland Council for us to be monoblocked.

Craig Thomson proved that in the Scottish game if you do something badly enough and often enough you’ll get chances to show your talents on the biggest of stages. Missed a stonewall penalty and refused to pull up Ross County for being eager beavers (and rightly so plucky wee teams should be allowed to be in oor faces).

Why do we struggle against teams that contain Ross Tokely? Though, he was found at the bottom of a garden chewing on a dinosaur bone he seems to be our kryptonite.
The sight of us using Adam Matthews long throws as a tactic reminded me of the dark old days of Lee Naylor and WGS. Plus it has never been pretty when you put a centre back up front.
That’s two poor performances in the league. Are we just turning up for Europe?
