Europe has seen him as mostly a lone striker while in the SPL he has been partnered alongside Stokes, Watt & Lassad. His partnership with Watt is his most successful but also has seen him drop into the false 9 position more often than when paired with Stokes. His European stats are closer to last seasons when he is the main focal point.
Miku and Lassad have been signed to partner Hooper. I have listed career stats for them plus total stats for Hooper and Stokes during their Celtic careers (all stats are league only). We have seen sight of both players now and both are different.
The only thing they have in common is that they is they both seem not very mobile and like to play on the last man. Miku seems more comfortable with the ball on the deck and more aware (the stats back this up) while Lassad seems more selfish if you look at the stats.
I’ll hang my hat that Lassad maybe a better fit for Hooper if Hooper and Lennon sees him in a more deeper role. Miku deserves the chance to go first though.
