Ghirl Power! Celtic Girls Academy Win Scottish Cup Double

It was the biggest day in the girl’s football calendar this past Sunday (9th of November 2014) with the finals of the girl’s Scottish Cups taking place at Toryglen Regional Football Centre.

Celtic girl’s academy had two teams featuring in the finals on Sunday with Celtic girls 15s taking on Glasgow City in the 15s Girls’ Scottish Cup final and Celtic girls 13s taking on Hearts in 13s Girls’ Scottish Cup final.

Celtic’s 13s and 15s sides, both took home the silverware after two hard fought victories. Celtic’s 13s beat Hearts by two goals to nil with Gabrielle Higgins and Kathleen McGovern netting for the hoops. Celtic’s 15s also netted twice to beat Glasgow City with Abby Callaghan and Brogan Molloy both scoring.
