  1. From the first I have never been a fan of Deila this remains. Just wish he was long gone to be honest.

    1. “From the first” you never liked Ronnie what a sad comment to make.
Every manager should be given a chance To write him off from the start is incredible. I am not happy with our European results but I have always looked at Europe as a bonus for doing well in your league.

  2. Very good write up James…..the jury is still out on Ronny and wins in those 3 games would restore confidence BUT…..he is still only a couple of(bad) games away after those 3 matches for all the doubts to come back in and he will be gone…….like Big Mike above, never been a fan of Ronny……poorest Dundee Utd team EVER.

As an aside I would just like to mention the bias that comes from that rag Daily Record with everything concerning Celtic…….pathetic journalism in the extreme, nothing new of course with the media!

    1. A widny buy the DailySevco ,( record)except tae wipe ma arse.Biased sports journalism in the extreme.A dae agree we need tae win the next 3 games tvough,or that could be the end for Ronny.

  3. I doubt Ronny will change his tactics, like most managers he is stubborn and thinks such a change would reflect badly on him, feeling it proves he was wrong in the past.

I cannot see a way back for Ronny, the actual attendance yesterday will have been noted by the board and I suspect plans will be afoot.

    1. Hugh
Bang on, he’s a one trick pony, can’t quite work out what the trick is, but as you said, the attendance yesterday was horrendous and will surely have the siren’s, alarm bells and the fat lady singing.

  4. Have never liked Deila or his approach…why can he not be more flexible…most games in the SPL should be played with 2 strikers….zonal marking is too rigid but he persists…Johansen poor this season, wouldn’t rogic work better?…I agree with other comments Dundee utd are in a terrible position so this result is not amazing. The attendance was soooo low yesterday, an indication on how people are feeling at the minute.

  5. Disastrous managers are ones when its Scottish teams that are ripping you apart…..this certainly is not the case with Ronny…..ok losing to Aberdeen didn’t help him but we actually controlled that game but lost poor goals and this is the big problem in Europe.
For me we have had 2 poor performances this season which obviously came away against Malmö and Molde . Domestically we are totally dominating teams which shows that at Scottish level we are a very good team.
As we know Europe is the problem but I don’t think the problem is as bad as you may think.
Home and away we have alot of the ball which is very new for us and the big positive is that we are scoring goals….we just need to stop giving goals away from our mistakes…..it’s not like teams are ripping us apart it’s just that we gift them goals.
Once we get a settled back 4 which hasn’t happened this season, we will stop losing so many goals and in turn we will start winning more games.
As has been said the next 3 games are huge but I believe if we can win them all then we as a team will just keep getting better and better, remember before we had a loanee and a player desperate to leave…..now we have 2 new players on long term contracts who are now finally playing together and they will get better and better.
Lets ride this storm because I can see sunshine on the horizon.

  6. ewanbhoy, I must admit , your comment ‘s have me scratching my head , in Scottish football Celtic should be head and shoulders above everyone else, no wonder Dundee Utd were so poor as Celtic took there biggest players last year and with Rangers in the next division down there should be no problems winning the treble , but unfortunately when it comes to European football Celtic don’t have a clue, in fact I would say we are going backwards with Delia, Collins and Kennedy running things, I could not believe watching them play at home , leading and then playing back defensivley allowing them to score late goals and crush our hopes of advancing , and you would think they would learn but he is too stuck in his ways , and thats were Collins should come in but he’s just a kiss ass it’s time for a clearance at Celtic Park, I understand the attendance was pretty low on Sunday well that could become the norm if they keep these people at the helm, you can only take the fans for fools before it catches up to you, that’s my rant over , good night from Canada.

  7. Lets not beat about he bush. It’s dead simple. If we are still in Europe after Christmas then give him the chance to win the treble. If not then send him to Norway to help Santa.
