Tonight the Young Hoops showed the first team bottlers how it’s done, not simply by turning up and playing to form but by turning up and thoroughly dismantling their rivals with a virtuoso display that left the home team reeling.

It was 4-0 going on a ten. At several points in the game it really did look like a cricket score could be run up.

This was much more like it from players in the world’s most famous jersey.

This makes it a straight three-in-a-row for the Young Hoops in this competition.

That’s an impressive, and heart-warming, statistic.

The future of our club is in good hands.

Tonight’s goalscorers were Johnston (21), Watson(38), Bowers (54), Campbell (88).

With two goals in each half these are stats that clearly demonstrate our superiority over the course of the game. It’s just a shame that the only updates available were on the Celtic twitter account. Surely this would have been a good match to show on the club’s official channel?

So, our great young players have won another trophy and they had to parade it in front of no supporters, and nobody at home was able to see it either.

This is so silly. It’s a poor showing from the organisers, overall.

But nothing can take anything away from the performance of our young players; they’ve done the club proud tonight with an excellent victory.
