The queues around the block for season tickets are a sure sign that the sometimes troubled relationship between the Celtic fans and the board of directors is starting to heal. The appointment of Brendan Rodgers has moved things considerably.

Now there’s one thing the Celtic board can do to seal the deal.

They can make an announcement fully supporting the fans on Resolution 12 and asking UEFA to step in and examine this issue. If they do that they will assure the loyalty of many supporters for years to come, demonstrating not only ambition in their choice of boss but in a desire to see that justice is done for years of cheating and scandal.

Other bloggers have said much the same thing; The Clumpany wrote an excellent piece on it just yesterday. More than signings, more than big names, this is what our supporters want above all else; to know we’re not mugs, taking part in a rigged game.

Celtic’s board is the only one in the country with the will and the ability to form the coalition needed to transform Scottish football into something that works to serve all the clubs, and not just the one that shouts the biggest nonsense.

We can change the game in this country, but to do that we need to take the lead and show the SFA that it can no longer get away with this stuff.

Right now the club is riding a wave of happiness and optimism. If we go from there to challenging the deceptions and lies of recent years this entire club will be united as never before and if the club thinks the fans backed the decision to hire the former Liverpool boss can you imagine the outpouring of support they’d get if they did this? Whatever the fans were required to do, they would. Whatever commitment the club needed it would get.

We are a special football club, and we are special fans.

For a long time now we’ve believed we lacked a board of directors in tune with our ambitions and goals.

The ambition is now clearly there.

Brendan is a top drawer appointment.

Our goals are simple; since Celtic fans became interested in the greater good of the Scottish game we’ve wanted to see our club assuming a leading position in that endeavour.

There will never be a better moment than this one.

The Offshore Game report has shaken Hampden to its foundations and even the Scottish media has been forced to cover the story they didn’t want to.

The SFA’s corruption is now an established fact.

Regan himself has been pushed to comment, and in doing so he’s made a huge tactical mistake and an enormous strategic error. He’s given us a time stamp on when he thinks the SFA’s involvement ended. He’s thrown Sevco under the bus.

He’s as good as told Celtic to make the complaint official and his committed his association to “co-operating” with UEFA should it happen.

The moment is unique. The opportunity will never present itself again. If we find evidence of maleficence here we can bring down the whole house, and whilst our club has not pursued this for revenge or gain they understand why the fans would want both.

In the end, this is really about justice and about the need for reform.

The club needs it. The fans need it. The game needs it.

Celtic can do a great service not only to our own supporters but to the whole of the national sport.

But it’s our fans who matter most.

This summer can be the one that brings fans and club together like few other times in our history.

If Celtic acts, if Celtic leads, then the supporters will surely follow.

Make the announcement, Celtic.

Support the Requisitioners.

Back Resolution 12.

The team behind Resolution 12 are now selling t-shirts, which will help pay for the cost of legal expenses run up in the course of the campaign. If you want to get your hands on one, you can do so by clicking on the picture below.
