Sevco fans wrecked the toilets at Celtic Park today, leaving their club facing a major bill from Peter Lawwell and our board. If that bill proved too much for them to pay I don’t think any of us would be terribly bothered. They are louts.
Sometimes a picture speaks a thousand words and I don’t require even a hundred more, because these do the necessary on their own. They are a shocking indictment of the thuggish element of a support whose bubbling fury is always waiting to explode.
This kind of thing is inevitable when you have a support who’s nuttier element invaded the pitch during a cup final and who’s club went on to make excuses for them.
I am dying to hear their excuses for this, because it’s appalling.
It does kind of beg the question as to just what in God’s name Scotland’s Finest were doing whilst this was going on?
Arresting indviduals for singing songs is one thing, I guess, but actually doing the job … well you can see how good they are at it.
This re-opens the debate over whether or not we should even let their fans into our ground. I know there are SPL regulations, but maybe it’s time they were looked at, and changed. Because this, this is just beyond a joke.
