Guys, I appreciate that everyone is still pretty pissed off about yesterday and in one big hurry to get things underway, but don’t get taken for mugs. There are a lot of fake “Strip The Titles” websites and campaigns springing up, and a few of them are asking for money.

The guys who’re serious and committed do their stuff through the blogs.

When they want to make an announcement they’ll do it through these outlets, as they usually do. Don’t pay attention to Twitter feeds which pop up out of nowhere and don’t give money to any campaign that comes without official endorsement.

If you see one, report it to the site on which it’s hosted.

Because the chances are it’s a fraud job.

if you’re unsure about who someone is or represents, ask those who do know.

Don’t get taken for a ride. And don’t give credence to people whose intention might be the furthest thing from the best interests of our club or football as a whole.

The actual Strip The Title campaign has folded, and is urging everyone to join the fans umbrella group The Scottish Football Supporters Association. They are serious people and not, as Strip The Titles pointed out, simply organised around one idea.

A single issue campaign, as much as it would help us all feel better, won’t get the changes we need.

Strip the titles is part of it, of course … good football governance depends on holding people to account. But it’s not the big picture, and it won’t get us into every nook and cranny the way a proper investigation of how the game is run will.

So, when the moment comes for fans doing their part, you’ll read about it here and on CQN and on Phil’s site and on JJ’s and E-Tims and The Clumpany and The Scottish Football Monitor and VideoCelts and IndyCelts and all those other places you guys read every day … and if you’re not reading about it there then it probably isn’t real, it’s most probably somebody at it.

That’s not always the case, as with this one, which is real, and who’s founder has rock solid Celtic connections.

If you ARE running a legit campaign, then get in touch with some of the bloggers and we’ll be happy to help you promote it.

It’s how legit campaigns like this one get missed … whilst dodgy geezers manage to do something with theirs.

Just keep your eyes peeled … there’s a fair few not so legit ones out there.

Hey, these people are relying on the fact that we all want to do our bit … they are unscrupulous gits.

That’s what we’re up against.

Let’s be smart, and patient.

From what I’m led to believe things are happening and it won’t be long.
