Sevco’s superstar Morelos will not be going to China. At least not to any of the two clubs who have been linked with him up until now. With the media scrambling to rewrite their bizarre stories of yesterday due to the four foreigners rule in that league, much giggling has broken out across the Internet as Beijing, the club they then shoehorned into the story, has tonight signed a player from Atletico Madrid, maxing out their own entitlement in this regard.
Oh look, there’s no need to point out how embarrassing this must be for the hacks.
This story was so much bullshit, and almost everyone – except for a deluded Sevco support desperate for good news – knew it from the first.
This comes as absolutely no surprise; no wonder even Keith Jackson, who has been pushing this pish for two straight days, was shamelessly backtracking tonight. There is egg all over faces in every news room in Scotland tonight as this story collapses like a house of cards.
Rumours that Sevco are trying to sign a Swansea player as a “replacement” for Morelos will now be shelved; indeed, Jackson is already trying to spin this online as the reason Sevco will not now be selling Morelos to the Chinese. The player, apparently, is headed for Sunderland.
What a desperate bunch of charlatans our media are.
What a joke they are. The media and that club both.
If you believed a word of this, you are a gullible fool. That applies to so many in Scotland right now, including, it seems to me, everyone with a press card.
