Gamboa, Miller, Sinclair, Edouard, Hendry, Musonda and, thankfully, Tom Rogic … all of them are in the starting line-up for today’s game as Celtic rest key players and rotate the squad ahead of the return to Russia on Thursday. An excellent decision from the manager.
This is as close to an all-change team as you’ll get.
It still blends youth and experience, but in a way that leaves me keen to see what kind of performance we get.
Mikael Lustig, Jozo Simunovic, Kieran Tierney, James Forrest, Olivier Ntcham, Moussa Dembele and the suspended Scott Brown are all out.
You cannot fault the manager for doing this, and that we can bring in such exceptional players in their place is a testament to the squad we’ve built here.
Congrats to young Callum, who gets the armband today.
He’s earned it.
Today is going to be interested.
Let’s enjoy it folks, and talk later.
