There Is No Sugar-Coating This. Some Of These Performances Are Unacceptable.

Dreadful. Again. I am sick writing that sentence.

I’m not interested in discussing the game because the game was absolutely rank. I am not interested in hearing how we dominated possession. It’s goals that win games, not possession. I am tired writing the following line; we have not won four matches in a row in the 2017-18 season.

Think on that. In other seasons we’d have lost the league.

Ponder that. It’s not a joke. It’s real. In other seasons we would not be champions. Imagine Aberdeen had not collapsed in the weeks following the McInnes to Ibrox drama. We would be in real trouble here. I almost wish we were.

It would slap a lot of our fans out of their complacency.

It might slap this team out of it too.

People are going to accuse me of moaning needlessly; I don’t particularly care, to be honest. I’m not here to play nice or to pretend things are better than they are. Look at the league table and if all you care about is us being on top then be content. Be content to stagger over the line, like an exhausted runner at the end of a triple marathon.

It is not the form of champions, although Champions we will be.

We have dropped points in eleven games, many of them at home. People are entitled to say they feel satisfied; but who really is watching that? The thing is, this was depressingly predictable; I knew at half time that this wasn’t the night we’d send Neil McCann to the job centre.

Two more points dropped.

Yes, I want this season to be over. Much of it has been dreadful and if you think otherwise, if you’re enjoying this, then I really have nothing to say to you. This is Sevco form. Whatever the internal dressing room politics are, I badly want our club to have the football out of the way so that Brendan and his coaches can get on with sorting them the Hell out.

There are BIG issues to sort out at our club. If you’ve been ignoring that up until now, it’s time to stop. We are on course to win a domestic treble; that is the irony of this. If we do it. (And I am not holding my breath; we are not playing like a team motoring towards that.)

This is the fifth time in eleven matches that we’ve failed to score.

I could go on all night, but frankly I’m pissed off and heading to my bed. I am still ill, and that’s clearly not helping my mood.

I’ll tell you this right now; the Treble DVD for 2017-18 (if we have one) will not be spread over multiple DVD’s.

Cause seriously, who would pay more to watch that dreck?
