Celtic Is Scotland’s Biggest Club. The New Power Is Going Nowhere.

I have written before about the belief, not limited to, but espoused by, those within Ibrox and the media who think that anyone connected with Celtic, and who also has a Catholic background. should have no opinion on anything else other than Celtic and subjects which are directly related to them, even if they are asked direct questions.

“Stay at the back of the bus!”

It hankers back to a time of imperialism.

I have recently been re-watching a drama/comedy show from the early nineties I was very fond of, “You Rang M’Lord.”

It had a great deal of the cast from Hi-De-Hi, and written by the same two writers Jimmy Croft and David Perry.

It was very similar, although less serious, than Upstairs, Downstairs, and made fun of the relationship of servants and their “betters”. One of the issues that was made fun of, regularly, was the old adage that those who were seen as working or lower class had no place having, or presuming to have, an opinion on anything that was mattered.

It was outwith their understanding; they were, after all, only working class.

What was played out in every episode was that it was always those “beneath the stairs” who had everything under control though; they had all the intelligence, common sense and contacts, whilst those who thought they were in charge were actually abject idiots.

What better example to use about the current outpouring of bile about Neil Lennon and Brendan Rodgers in their defence of Graeme Murty?

It is exactly the point I make.

Because we are “only Celtic” we should not presume to have any opinion on anything but ourselves, and even then if that differs from our “betters” then it is wrong. In fact, should we not just automatically agree with them.

We have them spouting their opinions about it on phone ins about how Brendan Rodgers is “nasty” and always gets a dig in; he had the audacity to say on Monday after the game “it should have been seven.”

Never mind that he was right; how dare he say it, he is only a Tim after all!

How dare Brendan Rodgers refer to their new manager, even though they are friends and were at Liverpool together?

How dare he reference their most recent manager, and how he was treated disgracefully?

He should discuss his own club! He is only a Celtic man!

This isn’t just Brendan, of course.

When Neil Lennon, another very intelligent, erudite man, who has never had any shame about being a Celtic fan or Catholic, was asked a question and answered it honestly, they went mental.

We know men like Rodgers and Lennon really wind them up, for a number of reasons; Northern Irish, Celtic, Catholic.

Then when they become successful Celtic player/managers it gets worse.

You can feel the hate boiling in the Peepul.

It is another reason why they and their are dying … they belong back in a time when imperialism and class ruled society. Their old club Rangers had those links. Even they would be struggling to hold onto them as the world is changing, but this new club Sevco certainly can’t.

This Gerrard nonsense is the last gasp for them, the last chance to escape their fate.

That club is a disgrace and no-one is interested in them.

They believe today will change that; it won’t.

The media scrum at Ibrox today was about Gerrard, not them.

They haven’t grasped the difference yet, but they will.

The time referred to in You Rang M’Lord is gone, the aristocracy didn’t die of course they just became the political class, but Sevco don’t have that option because its not how things are with new groups; your links die when your family line runs out, and their thing was Rangers.

Sevco is a pale shadow, which is why these morons cant get their head round it.

They still think they have that power and position, they don’t.

Now it’s Celtic. Now we are the new power, which is why our manager and those who were here before him are asked for our opinions, and when we are we have every right to give them. We have the right to give them, in fact, whether we are asked or not.

We don’t need permission after all.

Yet some in the media have backed Sevco in this, “Why you talking about them …don’t you want to discuss your own club?” nonsense.

But we are the power now, the biggest club in Scottish football, and as I have said before, we deserve all of what we have and of every bit of good that is coming to us, and with the lunacy of this appointment at Ibrox it is only going to get better.

We wont sit at the the back of the bus; indeed, you might even say we own the bus company!

And we are proud of who we are, whatever names they might want to call us.

The question that should be asked is this; why are fans of Sevco so bothered about what we say when until today they had no manager, have no money, and they are run by a liar and con-man chairman, and thus have nothing going for them?

Shouldn’t they be interested in their own club?

That is the deflection.

They want everyone to believe they have no business looking at them and thus no-one will ask questions; well not anymore, we know more than you, we are more intelligent than you and we will say what we like and ask what we want.

Whatever they think has “changed” at their club tonight, we know better.

We will always remember where we came from, but we are aware of exactly where we are.

Driving the bus.

We have the power now, and we will use our power and position correctly.

We’re going nowhere.

David Campbell wants to send a message to the Sevconuts; “You are the Peepul. We are the Power.”
