Another day, another Moussa Dembele transfer story, and this time from our “friends” over at STV.
This is more interesting than the usual ones, because it’s a complete fabrication they’ve not even made the slightest effort to stand up properly.
The story says he’s wanted in France, at Marseille. What’s their proof for this? They usually source a claim like that, and so they have here, with a link to some French website. Amazing, as I said, how far these people will go to do research and look for stories when they want to.
And what’s the strength of this one?
None whatsoever.
The article they point to – in French, not English – doesn’t even claim that Dembele is a target just that Marseille are looking for a striker and might – that they might – consider him.
STV forgets that we’re not all stupid.
They forget technology exists.
They forget you have options on some browsers to translate stories, and when you do that here you find that STV has dreamed this one up out of nowhere in another effort to put a Dembele story in the public domain and to get clicks for their site, so overflowing with pro-Sevco spin I’m amazed they found room for this.
Honestly, if they are not promoting Sevco players through their Football Manager profiles or giving Celtic’s record signing a mere 30 seconds so they can focus on Gerrard it’s stuff like this. That station is no friend to our club and it has absolutely no shame at all.
