Celtic’s Line Up Will Prove Today That One Media Lie Cannot Be Sustained.

One of the harshest media lies of them all about Celtic is that Rogic or Christie will have to leave Celtic Park or one of them will stagnate.

Today both are in the starting eleven, and between them I expect that hoary old nonsense to be thoroughly debunked.

The issue is not Christie, of course, it is Rogic. He plays primarily in one position, and that will always be a limiting factor for him. Christie plays across the front and is comfortable anywhere, and just as effective. He’s wide left today.

Sinclair does not make the squad. After a while I start getting pissed off just thinking about that. Lennon hasn’t been fair to this guy, not even close. It would be better all-round now if Scott went in January, and if he does I’ll wish him well.

The team is a strong one. We’re at home today not on some grotesque plastic pitch. I expect us to rack up some goals here today, if not a cricket score then close to one. They won’t be able to live with us on the big wide open spaces of Celtic Park.

Christie and Rogic will run riot. Frimpong is in the right back role and I expect him to have a lot of fun, in what’s going to be a big few weeks for him in the run up to the final.

Let’s do it today Celt’s.

See you all on the other side.

CELTIC: Forster; Frimpong, Jullien, Ajer, Hayes; Brown, McGregor, Rogic; Christie, Edouard, Forrest.

Subs: Gordon, Taylor, Bitton, Griffiths, Bauer, Morgan, Ntcham
