Our incoming new bhoy Juranovic gave the Legia Warsaw fans a nice wee parting gift tonight, scoring in the Europa League match against our old friends Slavia Prague.

His 37th minute goal put his club ahead 2-1 in the away leg of the tie which is still going on.

The goal is an absolute beauty. You can watch it here.

On top of that, Scales scored for Shamrock Rovers tonight in their Europa League tie against FC Flora, where the result didn’t go the way of the Hoops as Steve Kenny’s men lost 4-2. Scales’ goal came late in the match, in the 86th minute.

It gives them some hope for the second leg, but whether he will still be at the club for that one remains to be seen.

Opinion is divided as to his performance; some have pointed out that he was being played in a somewhat odd position, and a lot of the blame is falling on Kenny for the shambles of Rovers’ performance.

Their fans best not be hoping for a quick resolution if he’s blowing it … Desmond will probably announce and January review and then confirm he’s staying until at least the end of February.

Scales peformance overall I can’t speak to, but hs goal isn’t so bad either, a cracking header across the keeper.

Both of these guys should be at Parkhead early next week … their clubs are going to miss them.
