Celtic’s Players Need To Ignore The Media’s Attempts To Pressure Us Before Sunday.

Here’s the thing; because the SPFL gave Ibrox half of what it wanted yesterday, they play 24 hours before we do, which lets them, theoretically, close the gap to three points with the Celtic Park game coming up on us fast. If they win, the press will start their campaign of turning the pressure dial up to full before our own match kicks off.

We know this because we’ve seen it all before.

Yet what pressure should we be feeling? We lost a Scottish Cup tie because we didn’t show up on the day. Anyone in the SPFL would have fancied beating us at Hampden on that sort of display. But in the league we have been imperious.

We have put together a great run and we’ve done so largely by doing a few simple things and the most important of them is to do with pressure. We have simply put it out of our heads and got on with playing football. That’s the truth of it.

All season long we have been hearing this garbage about pressure, and all season long we have defied the odds. We went to Ibrox allegedly under pressure. We came out of there having extended our lead. We got here by focussing on one thing at a time, one game at a time, we got here by putting everything else to one side.

And that’s how we’ll win this title in the next few weeks; ignoring the white noise. Ignoring the media. Focussing on getting the job done. We are the best team in the country, and it’s not an accident that we are sitting at the top of the table.

Focussing on one game at a time is the key here. Win at the weekend, and then onto the next game, and then the one after that until the league is secured. That’s what got us here, and it’s what will undoubtedly get us through what’s left.

Cups are intrinsically different from Leagues. Sprints and Marathons.

We didn’t lose on Sunday just because we didn’t turn up, we lost because we didn’t bring our usual game to Hampden and weren’t allow to raise that lower level by a bias ref who manipulated the game’s decisions to benefit one team and break the play of the other, whilst at the same time increasing injuries to our players. That’s the hard truth and I’m certainly not gonna agree to excusing the Madden with that pacifist approach. This ‘its your fault’ rubbish I expect from a hun blog. Its no wonder we get walked all over

The narrative being set is ..

We’ve got a tough game because County are pushing for 4th spot and we scored a 97th minute winner last time we were up there .

It’s like them blowing at 0-2 lead against Motherwell at the bigotdome never even happened and Motherwell aren’t also going for the 4th spot .
