Alex McLeish Should Keep His Damned Mouth Shut About Celtic’s Players.

Alex McLeish has been renting out his mouth again.

This guy loves being the centre of attention, however limited, however briefly, and he knows the best way to get attention is to bang out some ignorant tripe about a Celtic player.

Tonight it’s Juranovic, who he reckons has had his head turned by interest from England.

Funny, because that’s been flatly denied by the player and his agent and sources in Croatia who know him. The idea that he will leave Celtic this summer has been completely shot to pieces. Only two groups of people are still debating this; those who want hits and traffic or those who have trouble listening or understanding facts.

McLeish is a discredited joke. How long has it been since he was considered a serious individual, and I’m not including gigs with the media or the SFA, which doesn’t confer that kind of status on anyone. I mean since the wider game gave a toss?

It’s been six years since he coached a club side, and seven since he coached one in Europe.

The last time he regularly made headlines for other than wrecking the Scotland international team was when he was hilariously demolishing his reputation at Notts Forest where he lasted a mere seven games.

Before that he was wrecking Aston Villa who allowed him to stay for 42 matches with a shambolic win ratio of 21%.

Quite why this guy is still listened to by anyone would be a mystery except that he can’t say a bad word about Ibrox and frequently takes shots at us. That’s what gets him in the papers.

That’s what gets him the attention he craves now that no-one sensible cares about his opinion.

Celtic fans listening to this guy should have their heads examined.

He has not got a clue what goes on in the heads of a single player at our club. He is so far removed from having even the most basic knowledge of that he might as well be just a guy in a pub.

Alex McLeish is a pig-ignorant pro-Ibrox stooge, and when it comes to Celtic he should keep his stupid mouth firmly shut.

In the 1951/52 season, SFA chairman George Graham tried to stop Celtic from flying the Irish tricolour flag over Celtic Park, leading to a bitter stand off between him and the club. Which Scottish club backed Graham over his stance?

If you hadn’t brought this story up I wouldn’t have been aware of his ramblings, the less coverage you give these stories the better, or are you just creating click-bait just like them.

Pish STAINED JAKEY HUN BASTARD!! Canny even string a coherent sentence together, fits in perfectly with the FILTH Mantra!! BAWAHAHAHAHAHA!!

Is this guy Boyds iligitimate dad.

Ginger orange bastard, shut the fuck up

As an ex pre-Sevco manager all I can say about Alex McLesih is that I have seen and heard much worse than him. Maybe it’s my imagination, but I have also noticed a deterioration in his speech. his awareness, his health etc. through the years and I have thought he might someday be diagnosed as having headed too many balls, I hope I’m wrong.

His gob can be annoying mind you and his reasons for doing it are purely for mischief making and for pandering to the blue hordes wishes.

However, in this particular case I would not be overly disappointed if it turned out to be true, and Celtic then made a massive and instant profit on a very talented player. As long as we had time to spend money on a replacement it would be somewhat acceptable to me, just the same as the Frimpong deal was. We are a business and player turnover is part and parcel of that process and I’m sure Ange would take it in his stride, get someone in and get the show on the road again.

I think the lure our Group stage involvement would convince Juranovic to stay put, but you never know.

    Que sera, sera.

      Johnny
There is definitely something neurologically not quite right with McLeish.
Watching his interviews as Scotland manager were painful.
I can remember the deterioration with Muhammed Ali from the late 1970s onwards.
      Very similar to McLeish.
When I read the original clickbait headline I was taken in until I read who had said it and just laughed.
As you said, all those headed balls.

  • Bhoy4life says:

    Your listening to him?

  • Johnny Green says:

I’m being realistic. and if it did happen, for it’s all hypothetical just now, it would increase Celtic’s coffers and strengthen our Club’s financial position, turning his infantile intentions back on him.

  • Tony B says:

McLeish is a pathetic shambling individual whose disjointed ramblings are due in no small part to his longstanding substance abuse problems, combined with possible traumatic brain injury acquired during his football career.

He is used and abused by the SMSM and is best ignored if not actually pitied for the obvious mental disabilities from which he now suffers.

I take no pleasure in his state of wretchedness.

  • Bob (original) says:

Well, whatever reputation McLeish had previously,
he totally trashed it by taking on the Scotland job – for the second time – and having it handed to him by ‘his old friend’ SFA President McRae.

Who needs a professional recruitment process, eh…?

And then McLeish held on after the Kazakhstan shambles – and I am quite sure he took the SFA for every penny, and maybe more?

If I remember correctly, McRae indiscreetly referred to McLeish’s health to the SMSM prior to his negotiated departure.

Whatever, if McLeish had any shame he would be nowhere near Scottish football.

  • Duncan says:

He’s entitled to an opinion just like anybody else.
    Even you James.

What will be will be and all the gnashing of teeth or pure opinion or conjecture won’t change a single second of it.

  • SSMPM says:

Alcoholic fantasist. Never ever spoke to Juranovic, his agent or anyone connected to him except in his jakey pished dreams.
Like all corrupt Scottish media and press, its free money for their favourite deid club’s players to mask the cheating truth

  • harold shand says:

Strange how he’s concerned about possible Celtic signings but he never thought to bring up the lack of signings at his old club
