Rumours continue to circulate in Glasgow about who Celtic might be about to sign, as one transfer story is confirmed; Albian Ajeti is going after all. It is the right decision for the player and I am glad that he has made it rather than opt to hang around Parkhead.
He needs this, and we need to move him along. His departure does give us a chance to bring in the final signing, and complete the building job for this window. The rumour factory is buzzing. Names are being thrown around left and right.
By tomorrow night we’ll know what the truth is, but business is likely if not certain.
Ajeti was, I think, the key player we were trying to get out the door, although there will certainly be a move for Mikey Johnston. Reports continue to link him with clubs in Scotland; I sincerely hope that is the case because he would enhance any side.
We’re almost there. If some rumours are to believed we’re targeting a defensive midfielder. Others think we’re going after a striker. Either way, this is an exciting time. An already strong team is getting stronger. We are in the best position we’ve been in for years.
The game will kick off shortly, and we’ll know what decisions the boss has taken in terms of his team selection. He will definitely be asked, pre-match, about transfer business.
