Obviously, there are two massive stories across the city today although the media is doing its damnedest not to explore one of them. The other is simply too big to keep a lid on. Morelos has been dropped from their European squad, the dressing room has turned on him and “contract talks” – haha – are said to be “on hold.”

This story has wide-ranging implications. I’ll get to those in an article a little later on. For now, let’s focus on the way this story is being covered by one specific individual; Kris Boyd. Today he has opened up on Morelos with a flamethrower.

According to Boyd, he’s unfit. He is more undisciplined off the field than he is on it. (Which is saying something.) He is regarded within the walls of the club as untrustworthy.

According to Sky Sports’ resident goon, Morelos turns up late for training, doesn’t apply himself and acts out off the pitch, something this blog has been saying for years and which the media has studiously ignored for just as long, although it clearly has an impact on his football.

None of this is exactly a secret, although the depths of the anger at Morelos from inside the dressing room is much worse than anything that was in the public domain. This has been a bomb ticking away nicely for a while. What a time for it to go off.

But Boyd certainly knew a lot of this, if not all of it, before now. So he knew that Morelos was not going to have an impact on the club this season, except a negative one. Yet when the discussion about the best player in the country came up recently, and Jota’s name was mentioned, he scorned that and threw Morelos’ name out there.

We all said at the time it was a stupid act, made totally reflexively so as not to have to admit that the best player(s) in Scotland are at Celtic Park … it was always likely to be something he would have to backtrack on. But this is quite the reversal, even for him.

He has torched Morelos today. He has absolutely torched him, and he’s done so in a manner which indicates that he knows full well that Morelos’ jacket has been on a shoogly nail for months.

The media is great at holding people to account .. or at least, the people it chooses to.

I’ll return to that subject later.

But some within it should be held to account as well, and I hope the next time McFadden and others have Boyd in front of them they put this opinion of his on the rack and stretch it until you can hear him scream.

This is further proof of what a clown that man is, and why he shouldn’t be anywhere near a TV studio.

Boyd has absolutely nothin original or valuable tae contribute. His views are nae better than what you’ll hear in any pub. In fact ye’ll hear more intelligent input in pubs. Morelos has beleived in his own super hype from the start. Bought right intae it and actually believed everythin the droolin media made him out tae be. Nae doubt could score goals, but a wee thug along with it. Bitin him on his fat arse big time now tho. Ffs, this is the same media that ‘suggested’ hagi could be worth 100 mill in a few years.

You could say that about almost every single one of the football pundits who’s primary focus is the SPFL. That qualification obviously exlcudes Sutton and Big Bad John who have other and, some would say, bigger fish to fry.

As much as I cannot abide McCoist, I think he is a pretty good pundit. He knows his stuff and knows hows to press buttons without overstepping the mark. Boyd is just a fan allowed to air his unresearched (exept for on hun media) views. I didn’t have a problem with him saying Morelos is a better player than Jota. That’s his opinion. Why he was allowed to air it I have no fucking idea but that’s a different issue.

Question – who should have the biggest reddest face – the rankers, Klit Blob, or Mororless himself?

    Answer – sly tv.

Shame on you sly tv for having such a football idiot as Blob reflecting his hatred through your channel. A bitter orangeman who has clearly shown time and time again what a bigoted subjective lying hater he is. Sly tv you’re mask has been unveiled. Having this bigot as your lead Scottish correspondent only serves to highlight that your anti discrimination stance is all a pretence. Do the right thing – sack him

A balloon commenting on another balloon is fair enough, inside knowledge and all that. However, said balloon is now practically unsellable and will there be a club out there prepared to take a transfer gamble on him now,

This is Karma for all that has gone on before and I’m loving it

confused . com here ?. a manager is getting praise for showing leadership by asking some players their views on the matter before he makes the decision to dump him. only scotlands sevco media shame could try and put a positive spin on this shambles but as ever everything in the garden in greyskull is rosy.

  • Tony B says:

Poor wee teeny toaty indecisive Giofanny. Makes you wonder what else he asks his collection of misfits to advise him on.

Lol he will do a Liz Truss from the tory party and flatly deny saying it.

  • Johnny Green says:

Once your team mates have turned on you there is no way back and you would not want to go back. He will be collecting his wages every week until the end of the season unless they buy out his contract.

    Hell fkn mend them.

  • Roonsa says:

I see he has made it up with his pals in today’s edition of the Dementia Times by insisting that not only was it a penalty on Saturday v Hibs but it should have been a red card too. What a fucking gobahite.

  • Johnny Green says:

I may be wrong here, because my memory is not all that great, so correct me if I am wrong, but when Alfredo came onto the pitch as a sub against Hibs on Saturday he seemed to make a deliberate show of blessing himself. If he has done that before I cannot remember it. If not then what was running through his head when he did?

  • S Thomas says:

Alfredo has an anger issue and fiery temper, think its a South American thing. Our Argentinian bhoy seems to have a bit of that himself. Here’s hoping big Ange nips it in the bud, and the boy knuckles down and justifies the price tag. Morelos wants out, he has done for donkeys. I’m probably on the minority on this 1, but I think there is a player there, his goals and assist record are very good actually. But I’m as happy as Larry that things are going the way they are . Predictions for tonight, score and win PSV. Then it will be Thursday football for them, which will just about hand us the league. Not that we needed any help, as we will coast it anyways. But every little helps, as Tesco would say.

  • Johnny Green says:

Alfredo might want to stay now and they might be daft enough to allow it, I hope that is the case.
