Let’s Go Out Today, Celtic, And Remind This League Why We’re The Champions.

This will be a tough one today, not least because it is on this crappy plastic pitch which I wasn’t surprised to find out Ange hates as much as we do. He says they change they game.

We can vouch for that, having seen our teams drop points on them with indecent frequency over the years. But he seems less concerned about that than other Celtic bosses.

So he should be. It might change the game slightly but the fundamentals remain the same. We’re the best club in the country and every game gives us an opportunity to prove it. This is how we should view today’s early kick-off. As an opportunity.

I am beyond wondering what the team selection will be. I am interested, sure, but we have such strength that whatever decision the manager makes will be warmly welcomed and I will fancy our chances of winning.

I’ve seen plenty of Celtic teams where the prospect of changes made us all go weak at the knees.

That won’t happen with this side.

We just have too much strength, and the manager intends to use it all at one point or another in the game. If the match turns out to be more suited to Kyogo than Giakoumakis then not to worry; both will feature at some stage.

If the aggression of Maeda will unlock the defence in a way that the guile and fancy footwork of Abada won’t, he’ll get an opportunity.

We know what the results were yesterday.

We know what we have to do to go back to the top of the league, where we belong. Aside from our two Japanese midfielders we just about have a full strength squad, and it’s the best we’ve had in a while.

The manager knows his business.

The players know this system. We’ve bedded in. We’ve flushed out the bugs. The machine is operating well. It is time to let it rev. It is time to let it roll over all the way. It is time to turn it loose like a great engine of war.

Go out there today Celtic and show them why we’re champions.

I agree that this game should be a tough one for the obvious reasons, but I somehow think that we will win it comfortably despite the negatives.

I think we are irresistible and that we are due to give someone a real tanking. It can be a day when we decide to take the bulk of the chances that we create and a day when we put the hun back in their box after they have gotten a little bit giddy at the top of the league.

Kilmarnock can be as stuffy as they like, they will huff and puff and make it as difficult as they can, but they will inevitably succumb to the Celtic attacking machine that never stops.

Great second goal from Jota, that will kill their resolve. looking good now.

Three up at half time and we are cruising now, I just hope we don’t take our foot off the accelerator by too much. I would imagine that there will be early subs, Turnbull is having an off day so maybe Mooy will get his chance, Starfelt too will probably come off the bench.
