Radio Clyde Loon-Ball Doesn’t Think Celtic Will Win The Title Because It’s Not Our Turn.

The Radio Clyde panel gave their title picks the other day. I had no idea as I never listen to that daft show and take them not seriously at all. The bulk of them – five out of seven – chose the club from Ibrox as their tip to win the league.

It’s neither here nor there to me. With them being mostly sycophantic fan-boys of that club I had no other expectation. But as usual Keevins’ attempt to explain his own pick – rather than just admit that he carries a long grudge against our club which he simply refuses to let go – was dire to the point that it’s virtually beyond parody.

He doesn’t think that it’s our turn. Yes, apparently you take turns at the SPFL title and we had ours last year and so this time it’s there’s. This echoes his nutty “pass the parcel” guff of a few weeks ago, when he wrote in his column that it’s that which is our national game.

Apparently he’s failed to notice that said parcel has wound up in the same lap ten years out of the last eleven. Or forgotten that he tipped us to finish third last season and the Ibrox club to retain their championship. Not much pass the parcel going on there.

This guy is so intellectually dishonest and so bitter in his anti-Celtic, pro-Ibrox leanings now – incredible in someone who did in fact used to be one of us – that he sounds more and more like someone divorced from reality.

He ought to just come right out and declare it instead of pretending neutrality. They say that there’s no zealot like a convert, and he is the living proof of it. He doesn’t even attempt objectivity any longer, and nor does he care how stupid he sounds.

Most of us can handle someone who honestly can’t get past his or her own prejudices. But most of them are better at justifying it than this clown.
