Attempts To Smear Celtic Fans Continue. Last Night, The Tartan Army Made That Harder.

You’ll notice that the first post I put up today, about Ian Blackford, did not mention – although you might have thought that it would – that sections of the Tartan Army booed during the minute’s applause last night.

I left that out for this article.

Blackford should have been pinned to the wall over that, if they were going to ask him anything at all. McCoist and Souness should be dragged out of their holes and asked about it today.

Is this, after it all, the true “unacceptable face of Scottish football”?

Or will people finally have to shut up about this and stop pretending that only Celtic fans, out of everyone in the country, have a serious problem with all this crap?

Dundee Utd fans, Hibs fans and now Scotland fans.

That really does spoil the picture for these goons a little bit, doesn’t it? It really does make it difficult for them to credibly argue that this is a stain on the game here that spreads from Celtic Park.

I understand Blackford’s appalling performance this morning.

He’s a politician and it was a stock politicians answer; follow the herd.

Because of course that’s what most of our modern politicians actually do; they don’t lead at all, they follow. They follow opinion polls, public opinion, they say whatever keeps them out of the gunsights of the right wing press.

Of course, that’s how our country ends up in the state it’s in … that sort of moral cowardice.

So Blackford, yeah I understand him to an extent, and it only increases my contempt for his behaviour in front of the Sky cameras today.

But I understand the rest of the gallery of goons even better, of course.

We know what motivates the people who the press has asked for comment on this.

The ex-players and ex-managers of Ibrox.

For them, this is just an opportunity to have a go at Celtic and in demanding that the board make a statement they are blatantly trying to drive a wedge between the club and the fans.

That’s all it is, and our directors and senior management are too smart not to be able to spot that a mile away.

Which is why all this is just pissing in the wind.

But last night, the Tartan Army threw a spanner in the works as any sensible person might have known that they would. There was nothing even slightly surprising about the applause being booed by a section of the fans.

The only two surprising things were that there wasn’t more booing and that an applause was even held in the first place.

I mean what the Hell was that all about? I thought football had done its bit?

The tributes were all last week.

Now that the funeral’s over with what are we clapping for?

That the funeral went well? That she didn’t leap up out of the coffin and dance around the Abbey to the tune of The Pointer Sister’s I’m So Excited?

The tributes are over with.

Still people clamour to get to the microphone to say how appalled they were.

At this point all I hear is the braying of sheep, because that’s all they are.

I see desperados who haven’t been in the papers for a while clawing their way to the front of the queue so that they can express their disgust. 99% of it totally put-on.

These people couldn’t give a toss about the Queen.

Aside from a small segment of the population which really is completely bat-shit and buys into all this in full, most people forgot she existed for 364 days of the year until they inadvertently caught her on the telly at Christmas.

But now they all want to speak up for her and express their fury?

Don’t make me laugh, all of it is a pathetic fraud.

But this has been useful to the enemies of Celtic, and although they have failed utterly to achieve even a single one of their goals, they continue to swing their big foam hammer at the Celtic Park stone wall.

Last night, the Tartan Army made that a little harder to do.

Let’s see who comes out and roundly condemns them.

I’m betting nobody does.

I’m betting that the response to their protest last night is near universal stone silence.

Because to even properly discuss it challenges every last bit of their despicable anti-Celtic narrative.

No doubt they will say that it was Celtic minded Scotland fans that was responsible for the booing the minute’s applause, but we are a bit more imaginative than that.

  • Frankie says:

I wonder if she ever came out and asked the gardener, sourness and their old club about the tax not paid.

  • John Copeland says:

I’m surprised the SMSM haven’t identified Celtic ,Hibs and Dundee Utd fans in the Scotland crowd as the culprits for the booing ! Yet ! Our genius hacks have this in-built , sophisticated ,bomb proof way of sniffing out anti- monarchist troublemakers from a distance ! This best wee country in the world won’t tolerate that ,will we ?

  • MarkE says:

Thank you! I was hoping one of our blogs would highlight the hypocrisy here!

    • Martin says:

Booing during a minute’s silence/applause hurts absolutely nobody and expresses the feeling of a people. It is utterly ridiculous that such behaviour is even condemned. “Lizzie’s in a box” song I think is in a bit of bad taste but genuine expression of anti monarchy views are fine. The very idea that we must all bow down to these people who constantly behave appallingly sickens me to the core.

And you’re right, most of Scotland doesn’t particularly care about the monarchy, but those and such as those absolutely love anything which can be negative about Celtic.

And yeah, why was there a minute’s applause anyway? Was it to celebrate the immediate sacking of 100 of her staff after their hardest week at work? Or the loophole that Charlie 3 avoids inheritance tax? Or the successful wasting of huge piles of money that is to come changing post boxes and coins whilst people starve in the street?

I’d stop short of the guillotine… But not far short of it. To me every single person who showed dissent at the “mournfest” this month for a disgraceful relic of early human feudalism is a political hero.

      • MarkE says:

I didn’t even think about the face on money & stamps changing! Aye the inheritance tax just shows its one rule for us, another for them; Charles picked up a huge sum annually from the south of England when old dears popped their clogs, assuming it’ll be Williams now

  • Tony B says:

So The Tartan Army, Celtic, Liverpool, Hibs, Dundee United and even Hearts supporters had some kind of protest against the monarchy, United actually going so far as to celebrate Mrs Gotha’s death, yet for some reason only Celtic comes in for criticism from the hun based media and political ho’s.

I await with eager anticipation the condemnation from Fat Sally, Sourness and Blackford, particularly with reference to the Scotland fans, and in Sourness’ case the scousers.

I won’t be holding my breath though. These utter hypocrites have no shame.

  • Kevan McKeown says:

And guess what. Not a mention of it by Jackson in his article this mornin either. After his slabberin, verbal attack on the Celtic support after the St. Mirren game. Says it all really. Fuckin clown that he is.

  • JimBhoy says:

Pretty soon the only public gathering allowed will be the Orange walks. The tories are looking to ban any and all public demonstrations except those divisive unionist ones where the goons dress up to show their royal/union loyalties and to display their Britishness. Most of us know it is a parade of sheep who if questioned why they do as they do would not have a clue. I blame the faithers.!

I am glad they criticise Celtic for booing the royals, we should be booing all elitist groups and privileged classes as there is absolutely no need for them, they add nothing to the society we live in, exert various forms of opression. They skim off the top, refuse to pay taxes and live off the misery off the masses.

    Time for change.

Blackford may be paying English lip service and even Unionist lip service if it means a few hundred thousand switch to YES then suits me. We need self-governance before we can positively change our wee country. The royals and unionists will still be around with their Jacks on a pole in their gardens ‘for a while’ before we see real change in Scottish society,a society of equals with high value in those services and people who make a difference to Scottish life, society, communities and culture.

Some have speculated that if the Union crumbles England will be bankrupt in 10-15 years, going it alone. I wonder how the Royals will be seen then with all the toffs and high rollers bailing their country.

    Hail Hail to the dissenters.

  • S Thomas says:

See that Lafferty has been caught using a sectarian term, sack him. Guys a sour rat. Kilmarnock have released a statement, I don’t know what they have to investigate. It’s as clear as they come.

    • Johnny Green says:

Tut, tut, you are trying that hard to pretend that you are a Celtic fan that you have turned against your own kind.

      Shame on you Sean,

    • Seppington says:

They have to investigate whether or not this can be quickly brushed under the carpet and forgotten about…

  • Denis Burns says:

Graeme P. Ness referred to Celtic fans being Scotlands’s shame. Hmmm, April 3 this year. Ramsey has just put the Tribute Act into the lead at Ibrox- they look like they could score another- Celts are on the ropes. A small section of the crowd, about 49 thousand or so sing the Billy Boys and revel in being up to their knees in Fenian blood. 500 or so- Scotland’s Shame, according to Graeme don’t join in with this innocent banter. SFA didn’t hear anything wrong, Scottish media didn’t comment . Only in Scotland is this acceptable- not in Europe. I am proud to associate myself with the 500. Scotland is indeed shamed when songs like this are found to be acceptable. ps. half time bottle throwing and victim receiving a split head was quickly laid to rest- a lot quicker than the Saxe Coburg Matriarch.

  • Michael Conway says:

Where is faceless sourness & whispering sally today

  • Effarr says:

This horrible human being, Blackford, is one of the reasons I would never vote SNP. How anyone would wish this type of ratbag, and there are many of them, to rule over us in an independent Scotland escapes my understanding

One of his staff is off sick at the present time because he condoned one of his pervert MPs`actions when he molested the young man. He tried to sweep it under the carpet and then persecuted the boy by ignoring him to the extent that it affected his mental health.

He was photographed last week crawling to the new King while wearing a kilt and his stomach was hiding his sporran. What a horrible sight! He made Harry Lauder look like Robert Redford.

Maybe he should try and find out why the Queen, God rest her, died at such a “convenient” time for all concerned. No more covid restrictions, 90+ degree temperatures avoided, ideal weather which can easily be forecast, all crowd-determining conditions. She was even shipped to Balmoral which was obviously part of the plans for the start of her funeral arrangements. It was as if they knew (planned) that she would die there. She even managed to survive just long enough to “appoint” a new prime minister. All very suspicious to me.

Consider the vast difference in mourning if there had been covid, 90 degree plus temperatures or even wet, cold conditions in the middle of the winter. Would all of her subjects have been so keen lying in Marble Arch on a frosty night as could easily have happened without some sort of “arrangements”.

Would wee Mr Blackford have donned a kilt in the middle of a blizzard.

I may be paranoid but that doesn`t mean that the British Establishment sticks to the Marquis of Queensbury rules.

Why don`t you question this, James?

    • Scud Missile says:

Great points well put, everything in a nutshell especially the stuff about Blackford another PONCE taking the King’s pound, which was previously the Queen’s.

  • Charlie mcdiarmid says:

I seem the remember that some English club fans also booed during the silent for the Queen but of corse no mention of that. But it should be up to the individual themselves whether to observe the silence or applause. If you have to tell someone to do it then it’s not out of respect is it, it’s an order, & not everyone believes in the monarchy, so who are you to tar us all with the scottish brush

  • peter cassidy says:

big deal some fans not going on with this rubbish she is gone now we have old Charlie boy in place to carry this farce on.I wonder when they publish her will how much death duties and inheritance tax is paid silly me this mob dont play by the rules like the rest of the land gentry etc tax that’s for the little people the quicker we get rid of them the better .

  • SSMPM says:

    Greens are good for you

  • Marie says:

Spot on. The Celtic fans on social media baying for the GB to be banned from watching Celtic ,season tickets revoked etc etc are worse than any reporter. They should have the common sense to totally ignore whatever the msm say about us. It will never be a positive they just don’t have it in them. They probably sing the Fields of Athenrye at games but don’t realise, against the crown was exactly what the GB banner was repeating. Their phony shock, horror is nauseating. Get behind all Celtic fans and forget this deep need to be liked by everyone. In Scotland it just won’t happen. The system is rotten from top to bottom. If you hate the royal family clap your hands was a class move by the GB ??

  • Gael says:

It’s been a difficult period for guys like ‘Oor Ally’. His reigning monarch’s just been cut down in her prime. Old Charlie possibly wants to keep distance from him, after hearing the former player might’ve occasionally joined in chants that glorified a KKK member-from Bridgeton. McCoist has a real handful of adversaries right now. This includes fans from Hearts, Dundee Utd, Celtic, Hibs, and now Scotland, who’ve all voiced their dissent against a corrupt monarchy. Ally won’t be too enamoured by many Liverpool followers either. Of course, lots of them won’t have an earthly who he is. Just to keep good folks from Merseyside updated: he played for Europe’s most racist club.

  • Linda B says:

Well said I think you have said it all and well done

  • Green Rebel says:

Keep it up mate, the truth will out. God bless. ,??

  • michael cunningham says:

First of all I do not agree with fans who interrupt a minutes silence /applause
by jeering, booing , displaying offensive banners et al no matter who its for.
If you do not wish to pay your respects for the deceased then for 60 seconds approx stay quiet……its really not that difficult to do.

However I do take umbrage with the likes of McCoist and Sourness. Talk about being hypocrites both of them.

McCoist for example had the ideal opportunity on national live TV at the Scotland match to highlight his discust at those supporters who disrupted the minutes applause before the start. ” No respect for the dead ” he stated the day before, no doubt clearly alluding to sections of the Celtic support.

    Simple question for the media to ask;
Why did you not condem the Scotland fans Ally ?

As I have stated both he and Sourness…….. five star hypocrites !
