You can’t talk about football in Scotland without mentioning Celtic FC. This club, founded in 1887, has a rich history and undoubtedly one of the best fan bases in the world.

Being one of only five clubs in the world to have won over 100 trophies in their history, Celtic has had a number of top scorers who have helped the team achieve this success. Here is a look at the Celtic FC top scorers in the last decade:

Leigh Griffiths

One of the top scorers for Celtic in the past 10 years is Leigh Griffiths. Griffiths joined the club in 2014 and quickly became a key player for the team. In the 2016-17 season, he scored a total of 40 goals in all competitions, including an incredible hat-trick in the Scottish Cup final against Aberdeen. He also won the Scottish Premiership Golden Boot that season, finishing as the top scorer in the league.

Odsonne Edouard

Edouard at his best was an exceptional striker and had the making of a top-level player for any side anywhere. He joined the club on loan from Paris Saint-Germain in 2017, and made his move permanent in 2018. Since then, he has been a consistent goal-scorer for the team, scoring over 20 goals in each of the past four seasons. In the 2020-21 season, he won the Scottish Premiership Golden Boot, finishing as the top scorer in the league with 22 goals.

Moussa Dembele

This player’s pace and touch dazzled everyone! Moussa Dembele joined the club in 2016 and quickly became a fan favourite. In his first season with the team, he scored 32 goals in all competitions, including a memorable hat-trick against the second Ibrox club in the Scottish Cup semi-final. Dembele left the club in 2018, but his goals and contributions to the team will not be forgotten.

Kris Commons

Another player who has contributed greatly to Celtic’s success in the past decade is Kris Commons. Commons joined the club in 2011 and quickly became a key player for the team. In the 2013-14 season, he scored a total of 31 goals in all competitions, including a hat-trick against Aberdeen in the Scottish Cup final. Commons retired from professional football in 2017, but his goals and contributions to the team will not be forgotten.

Ryan Christie

One of the best players for Celtic in the last decade is Ryan Christie. He joined the club in 2015. Christie has developed into a key player for the team and has scored a number of important goals in the past few seasons. In the 2019-20 season only, he scored a total of 18 goals in all competitions, including a hat-trick against St. Johnstone in the Scottish Premiership.

Callum McGregor

Another young player who has made a big impact for Celtic in the past decade is Callum McGregor. McGregor joined the club’s academy in 2007 and has worked his way up through the ranks to become a key player for the first team. In the past few seasons, McGregor has scored a number of important goals and has played a key role in the team’s success.

Unfortunately, most of these players have left the club, some for bigger clubs like Moussa Dembele for Atletico Madrid. That being said, football enthusiasts can bet on these players next transfer move. As a matter of fact punters can use the Betfair sign up offer for new customers – £30 in free bets to bet on any football market.

One thing is for sure though: these Celtic players will always be remembered as some of the top scorers in the history of Celtic Football Club.
