Desperate, Attention Seeking, Fourth Rate Hack Tells Celtic Fans To “Shut It.”

Fresh from Tom English having his wee squealing fit the other day against Celtic fans on Twitter, another broadcaster – if you can call him that – had a go at us yesterday resorting to the schoolyard equivalent of discussion, telling Celtic fans to “shut it” and even attempting to close down the debate with the goon’s favourite retort “End of.”

Actually, it’s not the “end of” anything, except maybe the last remaining wisp of this joker’s efforts to relaunch his “media career.”

And no, I have no intention of naming him because he loves it when that happens and he has a bit of a fan club on the other side of the city, which is fitting as his IQ is about on their level. All he did yesterday was stamp his feet for attention and make another pathetic effort at trolling. Because that’s all this guy actually is, a big wean having a tantrum.

See, I find that there’s limited value in pretending that we’re actually having some sort of meaningful discussion here with people like this. It’s like the guy Frank who dismantled Andy Walker the other day; he had a very clear point, which this blog and others have made in the past and echoed again in the last few days, that officiating needs reform.

But these people would rather not discuss this at all, and so they throw insults and they attack us instead although at the root of all this is a very simple argument; refereeing in Scotland needs to be shaken up and new regulations brought in.

There is a debate to be had here. There is a serious point and a serious national discussion about what’s in the best interests of the game … and there are people in the media who we should be trying to involve in that discussion, and since this is turning into a much bigger point I’ll break off from that and cover it in more detail later.

But we’re wasting our time trying to discuss this with people like this, the “shock-jocks” and the attention whores.

They’re not interesting in furthering any kind of serious discussions about any aspect or element of the sport itself. The greater good of Scottish football doesn’t concern them one bit, and even if it did people like this are far too blinded by their own bitterness and hatred of our club to take that responsibility even remotely seriously.

This particular idiot is known for it. He attacks our club at every opportunity, no matter how unbalanced or unhinged he sounds. He belongs to that very specific class who I have no trouble calling Professional Celtic Haters.

That’s not his official job title – I don’t even know if he has an official job title such has been the meteoric crash to earth of his mainstream career – but that’s what he is just the same.

When English told us to shut it the other day I was pissed off with that because he’s a media professional working at the BBC. All this guy did today was remind me he exists at all and now that I’ve written this I’ll very quickly forget that all over again.

    I don’t know who you’re talking about and I don’t care.

“Shut it” is the moron’s and the bully’s response. Can’t deal with the argument so threaten and intimidate.

This fanny should realise it won’t work with us and all it does is show their fear, and this fear is now tangible.

So we won’t shut it you zoomer, indeed responses like this only encourage us more.

We have them running scared given the hysterical concerted reaction to our legitimate demands.

    Here’s a different view.

YOU shut it you whining cowardly hypocrite.

Wouldn’t it be great if big Pat Bonnar was to tell English live on tomorrow’s Sportsound to ‘button it .’ A totally unscripted , completely authentic, in yer face debate ,where Packie stands up to English , McIntyre, Thompson and the like ,to fight Celtic fans and club’s corner ! I assume big Pat pays his TV licence fee ,so is entitled to form an opinion on such matters ,at the very least …

Once again we’ll rely on the Green Brigade to take the campaign up. Nobody wants to talk about it. Well all we can do is just keep the subject matter at the top of the headlines so “The Mooch” (God I HATE that nickname) can “shut it down” (actually, he didn’t and wasn’t even trying to do so).

We need a video of all the incidents since the Hearts incident in the 4-3 game when VAR was first used in anger in the SPFL. Nothing works better than a summary video.

With all due respect, this blog isn’t going to change anyone’s mind.

So why did you write about him?

    Who is it?

  • Effarr says:

“Shut it” is a well known Scottish saying. Normally used by someone with a bigoted hatred
of anything Catholic, Irish or associated with Celtic. This hatred is instilled as soon as they are born, invariably in a stinking abode with unemployable parents. The English translation is: “could you please go to the back of the bus and stand until I can find an excuse to decant you?”

And by the way, I hate that nickname too. Coach of Old Firm Sevco would do more damage.
