McInnes Sickeningly Sings The Praises Of Bigot Who’s “Bursting” To Play Against Celtic.

Yesterday I made a confident prediction about the coming League Cup Semi-Final against Kilmarnock which, today, has been proved right on the money. I said that McInnes, desperate for a strategy which might pose a threat to us, would call on the arch-bigot Lafferty.

I knew he would.

What I didn’t expect was him to give a gushing press conference as if this was his long-lost son, lamenting the ten games he was out for without once engaging on the reasons for it.

“I know how much he wants to play, the same as all my players want to play. He is bursting to get involved. It has been torture for him missing out. Any player can accept and deal with injuries, if you are missing four, five, six months with injury. Kyle has not been in injured, he is fit and running about and training,” he said as if some great crime has been done here.

And of course, a crime was done here, but it was done by Lafferty and it’s a joke that he wasn’t actually questioned under caution over it and given at least a warning by the cops. The whole tone of McInnes interview is stomach-churning, trying to turn Lafferty and the club into the victims in all this, as the mainstream press indulges it.

Just for giggles, he added one more observation.

“He has been really supportive. He has been at every game except Celtic Park on Saturday, supporting the team and he has had a big role to play in and around the dressing room. We just need him between now and the end of the season to play a big role on the pitch.”

Every game except Celtic Park.

I wonder why he gave that one a miss, eah?

But he can’t wait to be out on the pitch against us at Hampden.

And he will be because although McInnes pretends to be struggling with the dilemma it’s not dilemma at all because Lafferty will try harder against us than he’s ever tried against anyone else. Because he hates us.

And McInnes, who has not uttered one word in support of the victim here, or said one thing about the horrors of Lafferty’s kind of bigotry, has no problem whatsoever with that.
