Celtic Should Not, And Will Not, Pay Any Attention To Ibrox’s “Injury Crisis.”

No sooner had the last SPL game before the cup final week ended but the Ibrox management team were engaged in the phony war. Ange didn’t bother doing the same. When asked about the squad status, he said we expected everyone to be fit.

The Mooch is claiming that half their midfield might be out. Pay no attention to a single word of it, they’ve been trying this nonsense on for the whole of the NewCo’s existence and way before. It is such a transparent strategy real managers no longer use it.

Expect a fully fit Ibrox midfield. Lundstram will be patched up if necessary and thrown in. Jack will be in the squad. Tillman will play even if he’s got a broken leg. There is no way he’s not going to be in their team. The Mooch knows this as well as we do.

It is amazing to me that these guys would attempt a con-job like this against people who have seen it all before. Ange isn’t going to let any of it bother him at all, he’ll prepare our team for the best possible Ibrox squad and tell them to ignore all this white noise.

In truth, I don’t think it matters who they have available or don’t. Even with rumours of Kyogo being absent, I still would have been confident of taking them. With a full-strength Celtic squad though, I’m doubly so and can hardly wait for kick off.

We’ll beat them if we turn up and play the way we are capable of.

If they do have a couple of injuries, this will just allow them to make pitiful excuses afterwards about how it would have been different with a full strength team; again, nobody at Celtic will be paying attention to any of it.

And so it begins ! The negativity ,the manager going to another club stories again ,injury doubts ,bad attitudes etc ,all from the SMSM every day to try to disrupt Celtic ‘s cup final preparations ! You can see it coming starting today .In the Sunday Mail it’s Julien slating Ange as a man , with Keevins getting in Lawell’s boat for the banner . Over at Ibrox they go for a 16year old boy who is the greatest thing since bubblegum !Can you see the difference in attitude to both teams and that’s just one brand of Kharsi roll … So it’s watch this space all week long ,it’s going to get tedious !

If we are ahead in the final , we will get a player sent off and they will get a penalty. Just look at the shocking referring decisions to let them win yesterday

    • Johnny Green says:

They got a penalty that was a penalty, and a free kick that was a free kick, should they have missed them? They were always going to win against Martindale’s team no matter the circumstances, but don’t make things up to paint a better picture of it.

They will be there for the taking next week and by God we will take them.

  • Neil Smith says:

Big Sutton might poke the eejit again, see if he can resist responding? Keevins is a vile wee bloke, should have respect for elders but this pitiful sniveling soup taker makes it impossible, calling the banner an affront to decency when he happily ignores weekly songs and chants that affront all decency as they about killing Catholics, child abuse, genocide etc he is the worst

    • Johnny Green says:

Did you see there banner yesterday stating that they have only won 2 trophies in 11 years and for their club to get the finger out. Despite the purpose of the banner, surely that was an admission of guilt that they are indeed an 11 year old fledgling club, or why not go back farther.

Heh Heh, they forgot their lies momentarily and shat in the nest, they must really be looking forward to the Final…..Our Final.

  • Scud Missile says:

Look if they are carrying injuries and he is taking the chance in playing them not fully fit and one or 2 don’t last the full game he is taking a gamble here as e could do more damage to the player, who could then be out for the dozen or so games for the run in.

  • Tony B says:

The huns got a penalty yesterday that nobody else would have got.

Similarly, no hun player would ever be ordered off in the circumstances that applied to the Livi player.

That is the difference. Officials are motivated to award such decisions by scrutinising every possible infringement to favour one team.

Afterwards the fan boys in the media can say that technically both decisions were right but “soft” without ever looking at the pattern of such decisions, which has been going on for decades but is now getting worse.

  • Johnny Green says:

Granted a lot of infringements in the box go unpunished in favour of defenders, but if it had happened to us I would have called it as a penalty, which it was. Defenders in my opinion should be punished more often for pulling and pushing in the box as it is the only way to stamp it out. I also agree had it been us we would not have gotten it, but it still doesn’t make it any less of a penalty. The sending off is debatable, but the game was finished at that stage anyway.

  • Cyril Donohoe says:

Good article, whats this about rumours about Kyogo, looked ok yesterday

  • Johnny Green says:

As regards the Final, that mob know the sort of form we are on, and they are full aware of their own struggles. They are shitting themselves and none of them really believe they are good enough to beat us. We are not being in any way arrogant regarding our chances, our confidence is based on hard facts, we have better players, full stop.

    Bring it on!

    • S Thomas says:

No Celtic are not being arrogant, the manager and players are focusing on the job at hand. It’s you and James that are being arrogant. We will do this, and do that. You don’t know what will happen until kickoff , unless your are mystic Meg or something.

  • Kevan McKeown says:

Think kyogo will be ok and ahm just glad (relieved) tae hear Ange sayin Mooy should be back for the final, he’s a must in our mid for this imo.

  • Tam edgar says:

Rangers don’t award these penalties the officials do

  • John A says:

    Bring it on!

  • PAUL MCCANN says:

at 3pm next sunday there will be 2 teams with 11 players on the park
