Celtic Fans Are Sick Of Hearing Former Flops Run Down The Standard Of Our League.

If Henrik Larsson were to go on TV and say that he found the Scottish top flight too easy when he was here, I could probably live with that. He scored over 200 goals in a Celtic strip.

I think he’d have found just about any environment easy but if he said it about Scotland people would not really have much to object about. He was light years above this level.

What does tend to grate is players who left Celtic because they weren’t good enough to shine in this league running it down. That pisses you off. That makes you want to tell these guys to keep their traps shut lest they embarrass themselves.

The latest is Eyal Berkovic who was one of the laziest and least interested footballers I think I’ve ever witnessed wearing a Celtic strip. He had occasional flashes of brilliance, but occasional is the operative word. He cost us near enough £6 million at a time when that was a colossal sum of money. It was wasted, entirely, on the guy.

I can’t abide these people, people who played a handful of games for us and then go away thinking that they were supreme conquerors. He most certainly was not and nor have some of the others who have done it over the years.

Not only is it an insult to the league and the other clubs in it – and there was a decent enough standard when he was at Parkhead, so I have no idea what in God’s name he is rambling about – but it’s an insult to all of us who had to pay to watch this pretender moping about the pitch.

Martin O’Neill took one look at this joker when he arrived at the club and decided that he would not do at all.

I can understand in part then why he’s bitter. But honestly, he should keep this kind of whinging to himself because it doesn’t impress anyone who watched him play up here.
