SPFL Fixture Decision Is A Disgrace And The Giveaway Is Sending Celtic To Ibrox Second.

If you’re going to screw somebody over, better not to make it obvious.

Today the SPFL has made it obvious. They are, as the leaks suggested last night, sending us to Tynecastle on the first weekend after the split. 1200 away fans only will be able to attend that one. But just in case we don’t get there they’re sending us to Ibrox next, where no away fans will be in attendance. And that’s what makes it clear.

These people, in another year, would have pushed the Ibrox game to third or even fourth in the schedule, all the better to avoid even the possibility of a title decider.

But Tynecastle is not a place we have found comfortable, and if we go there and draw then a title decider is exactly what the game at Ibrox will be … but none of our fans will see it.

So instead of paying respect to the people who attend games every week, we’ve been slapped with this. 1200 away fans or no fans at all. No real opportunity to clinch it at home in front of 60,000.

Having been unable to deprive us of a title in a season of controversies, they are determined to make sure as few of us can attend the clincher as possible.

What a disgusting decision this is. It is worse, by far, than the one most of us thought it would be, even up to this morning when Tynecastle first became a near certainty. We have two home games in the fixture list.

But neither of them will be first or second in the order.

They’ve devised the one schedule that guarantees the minimum number of Celtic fans at the game.

Don’t tell me that’s not a calculated act.

Don’t tell me that’s not designed to screw us over because it is and it obviously is and we’re entitled to spitting mad about it.
