Why Is The Media Whining On Behalf Of An Ibrox Youth “Banned For The Celtic Game”?

If you’ve been watching the news wires tonight, you’ll undoubtedly have seen all these stories about the Ibrox player who has been banned for the coming game at Celtic Park. What the Hell is this all about?

His name is Adam Devine.

If you’re scratching your head and asking “Who?” you aren’t alone, as a lot of their fans are doing the same.

He’s one of the youth players – I hasten to write that as he’s actually 20 – who was sent off against our B team at the weekend.

The media is singing the blues because this means he’s banned for the first team game. Forgive me for thinking a red card did carry an automatic ban, but apparently not.

He is classed as a “first team player” because – believe this or not – he has played more games for the senior squad than the under 21’s.

And how many appearances has he made for the senior squad? A mere six.

So we’re talking a superstar here, then, eah?

What a joke the media is. Are we all supposed to weep at the bitter injustice of this? Would he even have got on the park?

Well he plays at right back, so unless they were going to drop their penalty taker and captain I highly doubt it. So this is just bitching and whining to have something to bitch and whine about.

There’s no merit to the stories whatsoever.

Three players from his team were sent off in that game.

Instead of focussing on that the media wants to focus on this. I have no idea why. I accept that their club must always have an excuse at the ready for when their club loses to us, but isn’t this a bit pathetic even for them?

I dare The Mooch or one of his toadies to say that this is a big blow.

I genuinely hope one of them tries it. The media might let them away with it – the narrative is already being pushed by them after all – but Ibrox’s fans will be less impressed.

Saves the ranjurs fan media aka the SMSM from:

    1) having to comment on the poor discipline running through the Klub.
    a) Headbutting of Celtic’s Womens Team Coach ( let’s it drop out of the news cycle).
    b) The fact that 3 youth players Red carded in one match yet no Scottish referee has sent off a senior ranjurs player at the DebtDome in almost 2 years I think ( they don’t want that elephant in the room rampaging through the media).
    2) Can’t have the hacks discussing the loans to shares conversion announced on Company House website. (e.g. why would a cash rich (sic) club not just redeem the loans. Well they’ve been telling all and sundry that everything is ‘all ticketty boo’? Oh, sillly me I nearly forgot about the begging letters that are in the post. Season Books anyone ?
    3) impending confrontation with SPFL over Sevco’s veto on yet another commercial contract that benefits the whole game.
    4) not forgetting all the usual litigation that is slowly wending it’s down the pipe.
    5) Oh and they’ve still not finalised their Current Accounts. I wonder if that has anything to do with converting the Loans to Shares. Surely not with UEFA looking on?

That ferocious tackle by Devine was definitely not best described by his surname , should be facing 3 match ban no intention of taking the ball ,angry at score ,he set out to the player ,which could,ve been career ending. Animalistic

Have I missed something? Are they complaining it wasn’t worthy of a red? (It absolutely was). Or that somehow the rules shouldn’t apply to their players the same as it does to everyone else….ah, I see.
