The SFA Charges Rodgers And Sets The Hearing To Ban Him From The Ibrox Game.

HAMPDEN

The SFA has charged Rodgers for his comments after the Hearts game, and have very deliberately set the hearing date as far from now as possible; he will be up before the beaks on 28 March, with the game against the club from Ibrox just nine days later.

If found guilty he’ll be in the stand that afternoon.

How much more of this are Celtic going to stand for? The SFA might just ban the guy for the rest of the season, or try to take in both games against the club across the city.

They are now taking an active role in trying to flip this title race and we are mad if don’t acknowledge that. Honestly, this club cannot take this lying down or we deserve everything we get.

The governing bodies are a joke. The Ibrox club went much further than this, much, much further, and there was no disciplinary case against them.

They basically demanded than an official not get matches against them; that was tantamount to accusing him of cheating. But they got away with that.

Rodgers, in the aftermath of a dire afternoon, attacked these guys on the basis of their competence. No matter what the rulebook says, that’s a much lesser offence than Ibrox’s, and they got away with that only because of the sly way they went about their business. But the double standard stinks to high heaven and we can’t roll over for it.

I know we’ll fight the case robustly. But the whole way they’ve gone about this is disgusting. They could have scheduled that hearing this week and got it over with.

They are dragging it out very deliberately and we all know damned well why. Celtic knows it. Rodgers knows it. They are openly mocking us with this decision and its timing.

Celtic should be making a statement tonight, laying out our utter disgust.

So what if they try to do us for bringing the game into disrepute? Other clubs get away with it, and what’s the worst they can do? A points deduction? Maybe some board member will have to buy their own tickets for a Scotland game or something.

The game in this country is a joke. Celtic, as a club, tolerate far more than they should. The SFA allows the club across the city to get away with murder.

Our manager gets hauled into the dock for one after-match presser.

They can threaten every commercial contract Scottish football has, but how dare our manager suggest that their officials are crap at their jobs?

You tell me who the mugs are here. This lot are pissing all over us, and all of us are entitled to wonder just what Celtic intends to do about this short of a couple of strongly worded statements if we’re even willing to go that far.

This is a blatant effort to decide the title race in the halls of Hampden, and if we’re going to simply put out a press release, we’d be as well doing nothing at all.

We may as well wrap the trophy in blue ribbons and drop it off ourselves. We’re getting screwed. That’s pretty self-evident. What exactly are we prepared to do about that?
