Another Ibrox signing and more Ibrox mouth. How many times do they do this?

When will that club learn that it needs to get its message discipline up to snuff?

They just signed Cerny today, he’s in the door ten minutes and he’s talking absolute rubbish.

This is only his fault up to a point. What does he know about the game here?

Not much I suspect, and most footballers aren’t bothered about looking any of this stuff up, although more of them should because they look ridiculous when they sound like they are playing to the gallery before they’ve even done anything of note, and even on a factual basis the words that came out of his mouth in front of the media today were absolute mince.

Far too many of them rely on the club they’ve just signed for to stick words in their mouth for the press conference, and I strongly suspect that what’s happened here. Doubtless, those in their media department are grinning all over their faces at getting him to big them up as the biggest club in the country and talk about how he’s going to win things there, but it doesn’t just make him look like a clown, it makes their whole club look delusional.

It’s a daft as the fan site which calls itself “Ibrox News” – trying to outdo “Ibrox Noise” as the dumbest fan site on the planet – whose writers tonight have proved that they don’t know the difference between an option and an obligation to buy and who think £3 million is an eight-figure sum. You can blame the schools if you want, but no school is responsible for that; it has to be inbreeding or something worse that produces stupidity on that scale.

But the in-house media team aren’t going to get into Mensa either.

If he got that off the top of his own head it explains perhaps why a club which paid big money for him just a year ago no longer wants him in the building.

That club has no discipline at all. Even if they wanted to stop with all the supremacist guff, I don’t think they’d be able to stop it for long.

It’s like when certain people in the US political media, who have been watching Trump for a decade now, suggested that he might suddenly become a new man (at his age) because someone took a shot at him; any person who was capable of taking a step back and thinking it through for two seconds knew that wouldn’t happen, and it didn’t take long for him to revert back to type and start pouring out the hatred again.

That club is addicted to this stuff. It cannot help itself. They’ve written the script for us before the season even starts, and it starts with their club in turmoil. The casual disrespect, the arrogance, the egotism, the denial of reality … that presser had it all.

And although we don’t need the motivation, they keep on providing it.
