If you ever wanted to see proof of the massive psychological effect that a couple of big signings can have, not only on your own club and its fans but on your rivals, take a look at the comments from Kenny Miller in the media today and laugh yourself hoarse. They are beyond amusing.
What a pitiful figure Miller’s become, eh? It’s incredible to see just how much pain he and others are in right now. Isn’t it ironic? When it was the Ibrox club splashing the cash, they boasted and strutted about. Spending money they didn’t have, living beyond their means. A habit they should’ve broken years ago, but just can’t seem to snap out of.
What fascinates me is how they wail and moan.
Miller’s said it pains him to see Celtic spending big on players, and he can’t believe we actually did it. But we’re in a position to do that. We’ve got tens of millions and a big surplus in the bank. We run a self-sustaining operation, unlike their shambolic approach. Whatever disagreements I have with our transfer strategies, the only way Celtic should be run is sustainably.
Their pain is more acute because they genuinely convinced themselves, after beating Ross County, that everything was going to be fine.
Bear in mind that in terms of the two teams, nothing substantial has changed since, except for one football result, but that result has tipped them into the abyss.
Since then, we’ve seen an attempted boardroom coup, the chairman’s resignation, the manager needing reassurances his job is safe, and multiple players openly criticising the club. The dressing room is divided, with tension between the manager and Tavernier and whatever is going on with Hagi, and the fans are starting to realise the gap between us and them is enormous.
Miller can’t even admit the gap exists.
“It’s not about that,” he claims.
Well, what exactly is it about, Kenny? The derby result was a reminder that there is a gap, and it’s vast. Their club is in chaos, and I agree that much of it is self-inflicted. Years of reckless spending and poor decision-making have finally caught up with them. They’ve been living in a fantasy, and now they’re facing the consequences.
Yes, they chose to overspend, chasing dreams of glory and Champions League riches, hoping to catch and surpass Celtic. And yes, those choices were always going to be costly. But here’s the thing—those decisions were stupid because they were never going to bridge the gap.
What Miller and others struggle to grasp is that we’ve always had the financial muscle we showed this summer. For reasons that defy understanding, we simply chose not to flex it as much last year or the year before. But we’ve always been in a position to do so. We could’ve blown them out of the water anytime we wanted.
And now their decisions have backfired spectacularly people like this are talking as if it’s only a consequence of their decisions and not simply because we’re a vastly bigger club than they are now, but that’s the simple truth of it when you get right down to it.
As to their choices … well, the only other option they had was to live within their means from the start. Had they done so, they’d still be in the same situation they are today—although I think they’d have been better off. Still, they’d have been languishing behind us.
This is their first taste of reality in a long time. They’ve been running from it for over a decade, and now it’s caught up with them.
Miller refuses to acknowledge that their destiny was always to be in Celtic’s shadow. Had they lived within their means, every season would’ve started with a reality check, just like this one. Their financial mismanagement only delayed the inevitable, making the consequences more severe when they finally arrived. But they were always in the post.
This version of the Ibrox club should’ve emerged from the ashes of Rangers, committed to living within its means and doing things properly, as Celtic has always done. But because they avoided facing that truth for over a decade, they’re now in an even worse position than they would’ve been had they acted sensibly from the start.
Their pain is simply the result of finally facing reality, after years of denial about their club’s true standing. And now they can no longer avoid it. The full extent of Celtic’s superiority is clear, and it hurts. I’m sure it does. I have no doubt that their pain is real, and their cries of frustration are genuine. But I have zero sympathy for any of them.
For their own good, they need to shake off the last remnants of delusion and face the facts. When you listen to Miller, beneath the whining and moaning, you hear the same basic failure to grasp the truth. Far too many in the media echo his views. They still talk about outside investment as if that’s the answer. It’s not. They need to live within their means. They need to start thinking about how to spend what they have better, rather than looking for someone to write increasingly large cheques on their behalf. Sustainable spending works for us and for other well-run clubs.
Until they snap out of this mindset – and Miller shows how far some of them have to go – their suffering will continue. And while it’s entertaining for us, for their sake, it eventually has to end.
What a pathetic little klub they are . From the top of the big hoose down to the lowest of the low knuckle
dragging zombie fan on the street they are blinded by their hatred , jealousy and fear of the world famous Glasgow Celtic . Even if they had all the money in the world they would still be shit zombies because nothing built on hatred and ignorance can prosper for long unlike our club built on sound core values we can only go from strength to strength . MON DA HOOPS
I still believe what has really got to the usual suspects, who won’t admit it, is the fact that the Celtic Board have just decided it’s now completely fruitless to try to stay a step ahead of them. They’ve just said sorry, you’ve completely lost the right to even that scrap we were giving you, as we now have far bigger fish to fry.
That realisation is what’s killing them right now!
Kenny gets shell shocked when he gets his socks on the right feet.
Some pairings, like Romeo and Juliet, are so inextricably linked that it can be a difficult task to imagine one without the other. This is how Sevco and the media function. The slabbering fanzine reporting of all things at Ibrox is excruciating to witness. Ironically, it is this unctuous lack of scrutiny that has greatly contributed to the clusterfuck at Ibrox. A lack of a whistleblower (no pun intended) in the media has led to the 12 year old club having no more credibility than it did on the day it was pulled out of a magician’s hat.
James have you noticed that kenny hasn’t been seen on his usual media bonanza recently, usually he’s like cow shite in a field (everywhere) maybe his on air meltdown has taken its toll and he’s been advised to take a break before he has a full breakdown regarding his eventual recognition that celtic are the real deal and always have been and now he’s realised sevco are nothing but a busted flush and it always has been a smoke and mirrors skinto side show.
And to think he used to play for Celtic, a turncoat soup taker , fk im.

Something happened to Miller to make one the staunchest, most deluded huns out there, even when he first started his media work I don’t remember him being the ridiculous bitter man he’s been for the last few years. I suppose he was dumb enough to believe their nonsense.
