You might have noticed that I’ve taken down an article—one of the very few times in this site’s history that I’ve done so. When something I’ve written turns out to be wrong, it’s the policy on here to leave it up as a learning tool so I can take my medicine.
But this is different. This affects the fans directly.
I’ll keep this brief. If you’re wondering where the piece on Celtic fans being allowed to travel to Munich is, it’s gone because the club has clarified the situation and says that we don’t yet have an official date for our hearing before the governing body.
This is important for two reasons. First, fans who might be trying to book the trip to Munich should hold off for now, as there’s no clear message yet on whether or not they’ll be able to go. I would urge caution until we know more.
I took down the original article because I don’t want to spread misleading information, and the club’s clarification is a welcome development. The last thing you want is for misinformation to make its way into the public domain. The initial story came from media reports, particularly one from Ireland, which stated that our hearing had been scheduled for after the Munich game. Celtic have now said that this is not yet official, so everyone should wait for confirmation.
That said, this does alleviate my biggest concern. If the ban is in place for the Munich game, then we’ll likely be allowed away fans at next year’s Champions League qualifiers. That would be a huge relief—if it turns out to be true. But we don’t know for sure yet. Most of us expect the current suspended ban to be activated, but whether that results in a one-game suspension or something longer remains to be seen. Hopefully, it’s just one game.
So, this is a short piece to explain why the previous article is no longer here. The last thing I want to do is put information out there that isn’t 100% accurate and give Celtic fans false hope about travelling to Munich. Apologies for that, and thanks to the club for issuing its statement and clarifying the matter.
Now, we wait. We wait to see what the next step will be. It’s also worth noting that several Celtic sites have today published articles on the consequences faced by other clubs from the same match cycle, and the outlook isn’t great. UEFA is cracking down hard on this, and we’re unlikely to get away with just a slap on the wrist.
Obviously, I’ll post an update as soon as we know what’s happening. But for now, the expectation is that we’ll get clarity from UEFA in the next couple of days. Until then, nobody should be booking a trip to Germany.

Not that I’m goin but that’s sage advice and wise council James…
Once again it’s the innocent that suffers because of those utter Huns / Hun that have brought this to the fore…
They might not be Huns by birth for sure but their actions (in THEY’RE name of Celtic) can only deem them as HUNS running about in Celtic FC colours and HUNS paying Celtic FC their cash to cause havoc for the club they profess to love – But evidently don’t one fuckin little bit !
