The Celtic performance on Wednesday was great, but Boyd was as ghastly as ever.

I enjoyed Sky’s commentary of the game the other night, in particular Ian Crocker’s comment about joining the circling seagulls to look for half-eaten pies at full-time.

The game was an example of the free-flowing never-boring football we’ve come to expect from this Rodgers side. I must admit that when I saw the line up I wasn’t expecting to add high-scoring to that list. How wrong was I eh?

I was absolutely delighted for Maik Nawrocki and Johnny Kenny on their first Celtic goals. Everybody in the team left everything on the pitch. Sean McArdle came on and looked assured. Always great to see a Yang goal. He works ever so hard. Sinisalo looks much older and assured than his senior experience would suggest.

James Forrest was a joy to watch, he gives his all, and he rolled back the years last night. He is the embodiment of this team’s will to win no matter who scores the goals. His delight for every team mate who scored last night proves that it’s all about team goals and not personals goals.

None of the scorers are regular starters. It was a seamless performance and the players looked like they play together every week. Credit to everyone.

I really enjoyed Johnny Hayes’ analysis. Brought in because he has played for both teams, he can speak in a balanced way with no drama or nonsense. Our “friend” The Village Idiot, on the other hand, continues to embarrass himself, and the sooner Sky get shot of him the better for everyone.

He thinks we button up the back with that hateful drivvel. One compliment for a Celtic player is followed up by how he can’t believe how bad Aberdeen are now. Compliment cancelled out by insult, keeping his staunchometer topped up. Dear oh dear. What a joke that is. Celtic deserved that result. It had largely nothing to do with Aberdeen.

Which BBC ‘pundit’ was it who said he’s not perfect but he does talk up Scottish football? (Tom English, maybe; remember that sycophantic interview which he droned on for ages about his dogs?) What utter garbage that is.

He embarrasses himself and Sky every time he covers our games. Every team deserves better analysis. There are so many talented pundits out there. Sky should go out and get some of them. We deserve better – the whole audience deserves better – than a numpty like that pretending to be an expert.

That aside, well done Celtic. You make my heart sing.

On to Saturday now troops!

Fuck knows why that Void Boyd has to cover the two teams that he and the fans of his dead club and club that as of today is 12 years and 291 days old detest the most…

Thank fuck that I don’t pay for Sky Sports and that I only watch Football and Springwatch on The TV !

And never Football when Celtic lose of course !

Don’t know if anybody picked up the comment when sevco got their penalty, comment was made in the Celtic game(no laughing ?), the commentator “that’s only the second penalty sevco have this season”. We can all start laughing now, of course there was no special treatment for the sevco mob. ?????

Well said Michaela, absolutely spot on and couldn’t agree more.

    It was Kenny McIntyre Michaela

Rangers are my team, never hidden that. Be strange to have someone working on Sportsound that didn’t support a team.

As for Kris Boyd. I know at times he is a wind up merchant, but he talks up our game. Would he be in the Sky studio tonight if he wasn’t such a big personality?

    • Michaela Rodger says:

Ah that’s. I remember Kenny McIntyre. Thanks.

I believe that McIntyre guy is from The Isle of Mull…

Why would anyone from The Isle of Mull (or any of the Western Isles possibly free presbeyterian Lewis apart) wanna support Sevco and all the butchers apron loving shit they stand for…

I’m told the Sevco support is strong in some Islands but I’ll never understand why on Earth that’s the case if true !

    He’s a hurting Hun,bless his bigoted soul

Talks up our game ? , a big personality ?, where is the proof ?.

  • TonyB says:

What McIntyre should have said was” be strange to have someone working on Sportsound that didn’t support MY team”.
And that would be an accurate reflection of how things are.

    “Staunchometer” Haha!
I’ll have to steal that Michaela, brilliant.
We looked fresh and you’re right that it looked like they play together every week, those guys might not start the final but the better the form they’re in, the more minutes they’ll get.
I don’t blame Boyd for being Boyd, I just can’t understand why networks, who should be interested in ratings, flood their ‘pundits’ with idiot ex-huns.
