  1. I only played at amateur level, but as a defender I really enjoy rating professional defenders based on the difficulties of the task.
From this perspective I see Nawrocky, whom I believe is still a Celtic player, as a superior player to Scott McKenna.

  2. I fear even your perfectly reasonable suggestion of signing players priced in the £4m-£5m bracket from the proceeds of player sales might be a bit rich for the blood of our corporate bean counters. £10m total outlay on transfers for 4 players (absolute punts at £2.5m each) might be the height of their ambitions, with the rest made up of questionable Bosmans, iffy free transfers for perpetual sicknotes and the inevitable filler in the form of loan deals…….

  3. They gave Scales,Ralston and Murray five year contracts, hired Nancy…nothing would surprise me with who we may sign.

  4. We don’t even have a fuckin manager there to ‘get it right’ !

  5. There’s not a chance Celtic are spending £40m on a rebuild, even if they do bring that amount in with sales. We’ll be lucky to see half that amount spent. You appear to have forgotten that we have a “rainy day fund” to sustain! If we don’t win this league, then expect somewhere in the region of £15m being spent on our rebuild. It’ll be a few £3m signings, with a sprinkle of Bosmans n loans. It’s the Celtic way.
