  1. A very well constructed and thought out email from Mr Monaghan highlighting what a bigoted society that is allowed to flourish in Scotland in 2026. In fairness there has been some progress but the undercurrent remains the same, anti-Irish and anti Catholic sentiment allowed on the streets of Scotland and at football matches up and down the country. Scotland the Brave, no, Scotland the Coward, all facilitated by greedy, servile, bootlicking politicians and a section of the population in a covert and overt manner. It’s not the Scotland I want to be part of either, James. I’ve been classed as an oikophobic and not very patriotic in regards to Scotland but i’m okay with that.

    1. I,m praying ,with the Scottish elections coming up,,some SNP canvassers come to my door,,,,

  2. I think in another article I described Henry’s letter as the post of the 20’s decade…

No government in Hollyrood will want to dare tackle this…

Reform will let them completely run amok and even shut down The Scottish Parliament to appease them…

Conservatives wouldn’t be far behind and just on a par with their equal Butchers Apron loving cohorts in Labour…

The Lib-Dems are Butchers Apron lovers as well but they are simply irrelevant…

SNP certainly ain’t perfect but they’re probably the best of a bad bunch to half maybe even even quarterly eradicate it all…

Maybe a Scottish Sinn Fein type Party would be the best mindset to eradicate the anti Catholic and anti racism prevalent throughout Scotland…

I got told it’s even in the Scottish Islands on Glasgow Derby days but only Glasgow Derby days in the islands…

Perhaps I could be called a hypocrite here as many’s a rebel song I’ve belted out in Old Parkhead (Jungle days many moons ago)…

Many’s a time I’ve used the term Orange Bastard / Orange Bastards as well so perhaps I ought not to be lecturing about this subject !

  4. Aye and our Board ban hundreds of our supporters, whilst allowing 2500 racist bigots into our stadium to spew their hatred. No wonder Scottish society shites on us from a great height and knows they’ll get a free pass.

    1. micmac, I totally agree there should be no away support at the derby at CP. Some would call it collective punishment but that’s the only way it works. There would be no recourse from the authorities if we banned them.

Regarding the GB, they have banned themselves. They have been told they can come back if they stick to the rules.
What happened at the collective meeting that was supposed to take place the other night micmac? They move so slow and are achieving nothing and the silence is deafening!!!

    2. Well said micmac. J.K. makes some very good points too further down the thread.

  5. John Smith 1969 @ 10.11pm…

I’m currently a SNP canvasser (well a verbal and debate post one)…

Will be until Scotland gets an alternative like SCOTTISH SINN FEIN…

Let me hear your thoughts please John !

  6. ” all over Scotland is not strictly true”.When I worked offshore many years ago the “OO” were not allowed to march in Aberdeen and surrounding areas. Not that long ago the “OO” wanted to open a hall in Stonehaven but they were refused.
Why not direct some of your anger toward the many people from an “Irish Catholic background” who accept “honours ” and are happy to lick arses and become part of the british establishment.A world famous Glasgow comedian and an ex-chairman of Celtic spring to mind. Why are they not called out for accepting “honours”.
The poet Benjamin Zephaniah puts them to shame.

  7. James, get your act together. You’re correct in your attack on the SNP. But you fail to mention anything about Labour. They did fuck all too. Even worse than the SNP, there was a load of Celtic fans in the Labour Party. One of those parasites still sits in luxury at Celtic, Brian Wilson. I don’t see you criticising him for not pulling his political clout and contacts to this bigotry. And don’t forget all those other Labour Celtic parasites such as (LORD) John Reid and Jim Murphy. So let’s be honest here, this is far more than an SNP problem. It’s been ignored by every political party. And just for the record, i’ll not be voting for the SNP anyway until they have some real indy supporters at the helm. I’m not interested in voting for a load of gravy train grifters.

    1. Well said Richard, the Labour Party had many chances to address this problem but chickened out. This is a Central belt problem and Politicians from this area have always chickened out.
I would hope that with Independence this problem would at last be addressed, I think the OO think that too and that is why they’re so against Independence.
People should always have the right to demonstrate or hold marches, The OO abuse that right with the number of marches they hold, and the very obvious anti catholic sentiments displayed around these marches.
The singing and shouting of Racist songs and slogans at Ibrox is a Police matter and they are under the control of the Scottish Government, Politicians from all main Political Parties have shown cowardice in not limiting the marches and curbing the racism and sectarianism associated with the marches and at Ibrox Park.
We should remember too that there are a some sectarian eejits at Celtic Park, The Roamin in the Gloamin song comes to mind along with one or two add ons to the Irish rebel songs.

  8. Hi James
Why don’t we take it a step further and walk off the field ?
Granted, this may hand the opposition the points or the tie, but the press it would receive worldwide would go through the roof. I have loads of friends who are rangers fans. We okay football together in the same teams…we work together, and we socialise together. They are embarrassed by the singing that goes on every time we play them.
The government will do hee haw. It’s a protestant country! I’m not a practicing catholic. For my own reasons I have lost my faith in god. But I still take exception to songs that are sung against – about us. My heritage on my late mother’s side is from Donegal. My dad was Welsh and changed his religion when he married my mum just after the war. The abuse he took from his fellow workmates about having “Catholic steak” (cheese)on his work sandwich was bewildering to him. He came home and had to ask my mum what catholic steak was …that was 80 years ago !!!! And it’s still going on today

    1. The powers that be within the Edinburgh establishment, hold the same anti-Catholic views as the most bigoted Orangeman on the street…it’s just that they’re more subtle about it. All those politicians, high court judges and policemen generally save their bigotry for the lodge…whether Masonic or Orange.

      Hail Hail.

  9. Wrote a similar email to my local msp after the George square riots ,got the same response.
You are 100% correct magus, great comment.
