  1. “That is why this Chermiti talk is such nonsense. It is not really about Chermiti. It is about the need to project strength.”

Spot on. You only have to see the way they now craft headlines to say Celtic and *Rangers are chasing this player and that player. Truth is, *Rangers cannot afford to operate at the same financial levels as Celtic. But that will not stop the corrupt media trying to portray them as now being on an equal footing with Celtic.

  2. First up…I don’t give a flyin’ feck about Sevco…Long may they suffer…But…Can you show me where I can find proof, that Forest made a concrete bid for Engels @ circa £25 million…I’m not disputing your claim…I just don’t remember it as a genuine offer…Thanks.

  3. I’m still yet to read a single article suggesting the Ibrox mob are in crisis, if Celtic had finished 3rd that would be the back drop to every summer story but NEVER do they point out all the tribute acts embarrassing failures or the shambolic finances, it’s always ‘exciting times ahead’ and ‘Europe’s elite chasing’ these fantastic players that somehow won fuck all in Scotland and came 3rd. If they can’t sell Chermiti, they’ll have to play him over Thomas Müller or the new golden boy Shankland, or risk his value plummeting. Then again, I expect a host of europes top clubs will be after Naderi too.

  4. It’s so funny now, Shankland wilt at Hearts was a bit player for Scotland, now a full hun has established himself as the main man. BBC spout so much garbage. At one point in the Bolivia game I turned the sound off, it was worse than listening to Super Swally.

  5. I wonder where sevco plucked the £25m figure from………oh wait! It’s the fee that Celtic have quite regularly received for players they’ve developed, plus the same fee offered for Engels.

    1. Danny I already asked James…but where can I find proof of offer for Engels. ?..I remember. ” stories” about it online.. but don’t remember seeing an Official comment..Cheers.

      1. Last day bid by Forrest who upped their original £20 million bid to £25 million. Celtic Board declined the bid. It was released by the Club to its Media Partners. and widely circulated on Social Media. The follow, follow chaps were going full Tonto at the news and started early to inflate their valuations. They were looking for ridiculous amounts for the likes of Barron, ex Dons, that has hardly kicked a ball yet.
        Muppets, they never learn.

  6. I’ll have a look Terence, but I’m sure I remember Forest came back with a last minute bid of £25m after Celtic rejected their first offer of £20m.

  7. I’ve found this article from BBC2:
“Nottingham Forest had a third bid of up to £25m (a guaranteed £20m plus £5m in add-ons) for Celtic midfielder Arne Engels rejected on deadline day. The Premier League club had two prior bids—one for £14m and another for £17.3m—turned down as Celtic held firm on keeping their record signing.”

    1. Thanks Danny…much appreciated.. .Canny believe we turned that money down ‘though…Cheers.
