Celtic’s Development side were forced to settle for a point after a late goal from Hibernian cancelled out the hoops lead.

Celtic took on Hibernian tonight (Monday, 1oth of November) in SPFL Development League at Cappielow, Greenock. The hoops looked set to put another three points on the table, but Hibernian’s Cody Mulhall had other ideas as he netted with just over ten minutes left on the clock.

Celtic had taken the lead against the Edinburgh side after Hib’s Neil Martyniuk put the ball into his own net in the opening minutes of the game.

The Bhoys had controlled the majority of the game and look set to end Hibernian’s unbeaten start to the season until Mulhall found himself with space outside the Celtic box, managing to get a shot off that ended up in the back of the hoops net. Both sides pushed for a winner, but in the end, both had to settle for a share of the spoils. Celtic will now be looking to get back to winning ways in their next match.

The Development sides next scheduled match is away to Motherwell in the SPFL Development League on the 18th of November.
