Bit of confusion and clarification regarding our goalkeeping situation for today’s friendly against the Harry Rags. The confusion seems to be if Stipe Pletikosa is actually with the team at the moment and the clarification comes from the gaffer who tweeted: “No can’t play” when asked if he would be sampling the delights of Maryhill.
The player is either here for a “long medical visit” according to his agent or a trial where we will “take a look at him for a week or two” according to the gaffer. Rest assured he will be here sometime and we will see him sometime if he is allowed to play.
If his long medical is successful (they find signs of life and knees not full of sewerage) I would welcome the addition of what looks like a quality keeper on the occasions that I have seen him.
The game today see’s the oppertunity for a wider audience to see and say goodbye, probably, to Celtic’s own boyband “The Unwanted“. Jos Hooiveld, Josh Thompson and Morten Rasmussen are confirmed as making an appearance. Darren O’Dea seems to be missing from that group in what from the outset seems very Robbie Williams. Solo career already agreed? Emilio Izaguirre will also play some part.
I’m unsure what will happen today but I fully expect Morten Rasmussen to be on the score sheet. Cause that’s what he does.
For those attending they would do well to remember that the Harry Rags fans claim to have set the moral compass when it comes to fans outwith Celtic and Them behaviour in Glasgow.
