Well if Sevco weren’t worried they should be now. Brendan has picked his aces. Not that we expected anything less, but the man has chosen a team which demonstrates intent before a ball is even kicked. This is the last game before the break. He wants to win it, and to win it with some style. Arguments about whether Dembele should have started in front of Griffiths or vice versa, which have raged all week long on the forums, are now over.
Now it’s about focussing on the job at hand, and doing real damage to this Sevco team.
We can inflict a near-mortal blow on Murty today. That might not seem significant but they really do plan on giving this guy the season, in the hope he does enough that they don’t need to go out and find a real manager. We can end that little farce with a big win.
Ajer plays. Ntcham does not. You all know how I feel about that boy. If there’s one disappointment in that line-up there it is. But in going for Callum and Armstrong he clearly wants goals and those two are well capable of finding the net against this rag-bag lot.
Sinclair is back though, and so too is Moussa. We’re going for it. And look at that bench; Olivier, Eduard, Griffiths, the kid Johnston … we have options galore if we need to make tactical switches. It doesn’t really matter how the Ibrox NewCo shuffles the pack.
We’re ready. We’re on it.
Enjoy your day folks, and we’ll talk again later.
