Ange shuffles the pack for today’s game. He changes the midfield ever so slightly and we welcome Jota back into the team for Forrest. Hatate, Rogic and Callum play.

Maeda and Giakoumakis continue in their respective roles. It’s a good side.

The interesting news is that Turnbull is on the bench and so is Abada.

They are joined there by O’Riley.

The one absentee from the bench who stands out is Ajeti; you would have to say that with Abada returning to the squad and his dropping out that it’s curtains for the man who arrived here with such a big reputation. What a pity.

This is a good strong Celtic team, and a good strong Celtic squad now.

In going with such a front three he might be giving us a hint of what to expect at Ibrox; I actually really like watching Maeda out there on the left now. He’s settled into the role well.

This is a big day today because we can open up that six point gap if we win – and if we win comfortably stick a few more goals on there as well – and put the pressure on our rivals where it belongs. Anything less than a win … well, it wouldn’t be a disaster but it would be a huge setback considering who our next opponents are.

I don’t foresee that being an issue though. I expect us to be comfortable today, and win it by a few goals after another reasonably quiet week at Lennoxtown. Our win against Dundee Utd has everyone bursting with confidence.

We go into this one today in very good shape.

See you on the other side.
