No-One Will Be “Plundering” Celtic Whatever Some Media Halfwit Hopes For.

If we ever needed a lesson in what we are up against – just in case people were forgetting what the stakes are here – Mark Hendry reminded us all today with an article whose headlines practically begs Spurs to “plunder Celtic” of all its top talents.

The media here has no shame whatsoever. None. They will attack us by every means at their disposal and we should not be shocked by anything they do anymore.

Even when in order to get that headline they had to invent the quote.

The article itself is about Stan Collymore and his analysis of the side which our former manager has inherited. He suggests that Kyogo might be “worth a punt”; that’s as far as it goes. The much more lurid wording is the invention of Hendry and his editor.

We’ve been over this ground many times before, and the question has been asked in a hundred different ways; why are the very people who should be promoting Scottish football in such a hurry to see the best talents in it depart for south of the border?

Kyogo himself has spoken about his “unfinished business” at Celtic; he wants to be here under the next manager for a crack at the Champions League. Only if Celtic gets an offer for him which is a blockbuster, no brainer that it would insane to refuse will he be allowed to go. If people are simultaneously talking about signing him to replace Harry Kane and thinking he’ll come cheap then those people need to go for a lie down in a room with padded walls.

There will be no “plundering Celtic” no matter which club or manager Hendry and his editors are “urging” do it. We’ve just lost a manager to the EPL and the idea that some of our players might follow him there virtually guarantees that we can ask – and expect – top dollar for these guys. We are not the club which is, at this time, trying to sell anyone they think they can realise a value for …. good luck with that. Clubs know they are desperate and aren’t interested.

In the meantime, nothing is going to happen with Celtic in terms of outgoings until the new boss is appointed and has time to take a look at the squad. Then we’ll see. But i have full confidence that whoever it is – and the weirder the scene, ironically, the truer this will be – will be backed fulsomely whether no-one leaves or if half a dozen of them go.

And no-one will be leaving on the cheap. Celtic are most certainly not going to get “plundered” here, whatever fantasies some of our despicable press tell themselves.

Mark Hendry i believe is a current scoop with that bastion of inept , incompetent, biased ,sports clickbait ,the daily Record ! Now , we all know that the quality reporting boasted by the same rag is as about as authentic as big fake Kris Boyd’s hair and teeth ….Amongst other bodily parts ! The sad thing about Hendry and other scoops of that ilk , is that deep down there are possibly half decent reporters amongst most of them … Maybe the Record are trying to emulate it’s sister paper the Mirror’s editing under Piers Morgan ….. Get the half story at all costs then when the brown stuff hits the fan , deny EVERYTHING ! It never fails .

It’s of no surprise the scum cheerleaders within the Scottish media hope that many of our top talent follow Ange out of the club.
The eejits have never done reality as remain to thick to see what is happening at present, and certainly won’t report upon it.
The scum are looking and getting players at English championship level at best and want to keep polishing dog shit as per usual.
There obsession with ourselves in trying to catch us remains strong when we couldn’t give 2 hoots what is going on within scummy shithole.
They know we operate on a far higher level, with so many able to play at an EPL level, and the scum have no one.
So no wonder they want to see the back of them, yet they are the type of players needed to compete at CL level.
We have been here before after the Invincible season, yet no investment was put into an ageing squad.
This time around, we will not be so blind as to let history repeat itself with such decisions this board were allowed to make with drastic results in the end.
This decision the board are going to make regards the next manager will outline our ambitions as a club for the next couple of seasons, so vitally important that we need to get right.
The scum are no longer relevant to our plans as a club going forward, and if a board thinks we will step off there throats by coming back down to there level, they best start thinking again

“so many able to play at EPL level” is wishful thinking. Apart from kyogo and McGregor, who else? Don’t say Jota, Abada or any of the others for whom SPFL or English championship is their level. We got 2 points in our champions League group. English teams in that competition usually advance out of group. When Rodgers left, there was the same chat of plundering, taking French Eddy and Callum etc. We can rest easy.

Calling this imbecile a halfwit is an insult to halfwits everywhere.

Hopefully the Australian guy doesn’t plunder us.Despite us winning five trophies with him the guy is a fraud. The shite he spouted to the fans about being only starting and you’ll be surprised how long I’ll he here nonsense proves it.
    A wolf in sheep’s clothing.
    Hope he fails miserably.
    HAIL HAIL

James, you have been a Celtic fan for long enough to know if a bid of 25 million plus comes in for Kyogo (or anyone else for that matter) then he is gone. End of story.
