The Village Idiot Attacks Celtic And Its Fans In Another Contemptible Unprofessional Rant.

The Village Idiot has launched another barmy, deranged attack on Celtic, and this time he made sure to rope our fans into it as well.

It’s a shockingly ignorant rant in his crayon-written column for a bottom feeding national rag which once lied about dead football supporters, and further proof that he shouldn’t be in a mainstream gig because he is a partisan, unprofessional loon-ball. But then, when you consider the rag in question those things aren’t important anyway.

It’s typical of this joker to try to drag us into a debate we’re not involved in and where we haven’t opened our mouths. He is harking back to the AGM, of course, and we’ll get to that in a second. But it’s worth examining precisely what he said here.

“Let’s get it right,” he says, before jumping in with both fat feet in his mouth and then getting it completely wrong. “When it comes to peddling the narrative that the SFA and their referees are biased, Celtic are kings.”

Really? So it’s Celtic who have made eye-bulging, mouth-foaming, allegations in the media about match officials? It was Celtic who have hired subsequent managers who have claimed a conspiracy against them? It’s Celtic whose former CEO openly stated that the SFA is biased against his club? I must have missed all that.

But that’s all happened at Ibrox.

Indeed, on the afternoon of the first game the current Ibrox club played their chairman, Charles Green, stood on the touchline of the pitch and claimed that “bigotry” was behind the vote to make them start life in Division 3. Green also threw some allegations at Celtic that day, which resulted in our club issuing a rare response to the media.

“These comments are not worthy of any response from Celtic Football Club,” it said. “We presume the matter would now be one for the Scottish Football Association and the Scottish Football League to deal with.” Not that it ever was.

It was their club who accused the league of all manner of shenanigans in relation to “the Dundee vote”, which more and more this current flare-up reminds me of.

It too was full of crazy allegations with not one piece of evidence to back them up, and which left many other clubs scratching their heads in bewilderment and wondering if people there had lost their minds. That actually resulted in the famous “dodgy dossier” which was supposed to reveal “the truth”, which Peter Lawwell took one look at and branded “embarrassing” at the big unveiling emergency meeting their club had demanded.

Ibrox has been throwing allegations around about cover-ups and conspiracies for years now. But it’s Celtic, not them, who have produced smoking guns.

We are the club which forced out an SFA President. We linked another to the EBT scandal which happened under Hampden’s own roof. Celtic blogs played a prominent role in forcing out the head of referees for sending a sectarian email around his colleagues; this came at almost the same time that officials called a strike after we’d caught a couple of them actually conspiring to lie about a decision.

There is plenty of evidence that suggests that the SFA has been up to no good against Celtic. We destroyed one President for corrupt practices. We forced another to walk away with his reputation in shreds.

Ibrox has never uncovered a single thing which has resulted in the removal of even the lowliest ball boy. Yet the Village Idiot accuses us of peddling “conspiracy theories” and of doing more of this than they do. Because of a joke at the AGM.

“Their supporters have been brainwashed into believing our top officials are too terrified to award a penalty at Ibrox,” is his next claim. Which of course is ridiculous as we’ve never claimed any such thing and no-one else has either.

For starters, nobody brainwashed us, far less the club as he is suggesting. In fact, our sites are full of demands for our club to do more to tackle what we’re watching, and our club simply won’t do it in public.

No, we’ve alleged that some of them just don’t want to award penalties against the Ibrox club, and not just in that ground but anywhere which might impact on a close title race. I don’t remember any of us suggesting it was out of fear far less that they were “terrified.”

This is where he has a go at the club and the fans, and where the famous AGM is brought up.

“Their chief executive even spun the line at Celtic’s recent AGM, to divert attention away from the criticism the board were getting from shareholders. Predictably the saps all lapped it up.”

First, the ‘criticism’ that day was actually very mild.

So whatever else was happening, there was no attempt to divert attention away from people giving them stick. And to claim that Michael Nicholson did any such thing is blatantly to lie … Michael Nicholson cracked a joke. That’s all.

He made a joke about it, and I actually scorned him for doing so.

It was the fans who wanted answers on the Ibrox penalty stats … and Celtic’s CEO, far from stoking that anger, actually laughed it off.

If The Village Idiot was pulling his hair out over that then he needs serious professional help because that was a complete non incident.

And this “sap” here was furious at Celtic for not taking that matter seriously, and I was far from the only blogger to fire back at the club over it.

So, he’s made a number of stupid remarks there without hitting on a single factual statement, and that’s sort of miraculous when you think about it, because when you let bile and bitterness flow out of you in this way, without thinking, without giving rational consideration to a word of it, you’re bound to produce at least one fact by sheer accident.

To put in plain, simple terms, every contention he’s made there has only the most fragmentary relationship to the truth.

Quite how any outlet which uses this stuff think they get their moneys worth out of this eejit is absolutely beyond me … we might highlight it, but nobody is linking back to their rag or any of the others that runs it.

The only “saps” as far as I’m concerned are the Ibrox fans who lap up this guy’s dirge and the people who pay him for producing it.

    Hilarious, James!

You would think someone would say to him, see before you hit the send button – have a wee think first.

How he gets a gig anywhere is beyond me. But long may he continue to be the voice of Sevconia as he typifies everything that is wrong about them.

The Tarbolton Twat doesn’t even care that there is no evidence to substantiate his claim. As far as he is concerned he is justified in airing his rants as his employers have never censured him for his previous uneducated, unfounded and nakedly Sectarian and biased utterances.

He feels justified in pushing the ‘envelope’ every time he gets away with it. His rationale is that it’s a ‘two fingered’ salute to Celtic and our fans and it keeps the denizens of the DebtDome onside and secures his place on the ‘gravy train’.

Nowhere but in ‘ the best wee bigoted Kuntry inra Wurld’ would such an intellectual Pygmy and patent fraud be allowed a Public platform to proclaim his partisan, anti Celtic (read as anti Kafflic and Tarrier) views.
A serious Journalistic enterprise wouldn’t have him as a ‘tea boy’.

If anyone was ever in doubt about the health and quality of so called modern day sports reporting and journalism , then you have the succinct ,precise and explicit answer as soon as big fake Kris Boyd opens his mouth to deliver his uneducated diatribe to anyone who cares to take notice . He is an appalling example to the paying public why the SMSM is a disgrace at its job in the main . Dour , gruff , curt ,rude ,crude are just some of the descriptions that can be attributed to the perennial ‘ hump of the month .’

Bitterness and nastiness oozes out of Kris Boyd, he is the one who is brainwashed , total amateur TV pundit and he’s never a journalist, the only reason he gets the gig is because he played for The Rangers. Come to think about it he is not alone in SMSM

Propaganda doesn’t have to be truthful to be willingly believed.

  • Clachnacuddin and the Hoops says:

“When it comes to peddling the narrative that The SFA and their referees are biased, Celtic are kings” –

Of Boyd – If only, If only, If only… (I could repeat this a million times given the decisions for Sevco and against Celtic) !

Jeez – More lies from someone that played for and loves Liebrox…

Quelle surprise there then – NOT, NOT, NOT. !!!!

  • Garry Cowan says:

To be fair he doesn’t really need to pull his hair out

    • Scouse bhoy says:

In a reply to an e-mail i sent sky sports will not disclose what he gets paid. They say its a private matter and have no intention of removing him this season or next.

    • Nick66 says:

And if he did Gary, it would cost him another £5-10,000 to replace it.

  • Michael Clark says:

This guy is biggest bigot of them all, he can’t hide is hate for Celtic and the fact that they are the dominant club in Scotland. Its beyond me ever since his comments about testing Callum McGregor’s mask that he’s managed to keep his job at SKY Sports, remember Andy Gray, he was sacked for far less. We know the Govan contigent are involved with the SFA. It makes me wonder if the walking dead are amongst that lot as well.

Unbelievable how this absolute cretin is allowed tae churn out this tripe. Biggest laugh there, is him sayin the Celtic support are ‘saps’ who ‘lap things up’. Comin from the mouthpiece for a support, who’s directors could sell them dug-shit and they would buy intae it, thats fkn rich. And by the way, he wouldnae have tae ‘pull his hair out’ either. He gets his out a tin. The latest fab ‘spray on’ stuff for the ‘in town’ kinda guy. A short rinse would suffice. Just sayin.

  • Clachnacuddin and the Hoops says:

All I can say is that as a Celtic supporter I am glad that I don’t pay ‘not one thin dime’ (C. Fergus McCann) towards Kris Boyd’s wages by way of financial subscription to Sky Sports Scotland (or England)…

It must be truly sole destroying for Hoops fans that actually do !
