Celtic legend Scott Brown is reportedly a man in high demand as he seeks to resume his managerial career. Ayr United could be his next stop as the Scottish Championship side are reportedly considering him for their vacant hesgoal manager position.

Ayr United recently sacked Lee Bullen and they are now on the hunt for a new manager. Among several candidates, Scott Brown has emerged as one of the top contenders for the role.

The former Scotland skipper has quickly become the bookmakers’ favourite for the Somerset Park gig, with reports suggesting that Ayr United are “keen” to make him their next manager.

Brown, 38, began his fledgling managerial career at English League One club Fleetwood Town in 2022 but was let go last September after 16 months in charge.

According to several reports, there could also be another opportunity on the horizon for Brown in English football. Forest Green Rovers have allegedly “approached” him as they seek a replacement for Troy Deeney.

Watford legend Deeney has been sacked by Forest Green Rovers after just 29 days at the helm and now the League Two outfit finds itself looking for yet another manager.

In fact, including caretakers, they’ve had four different managers since sacking Ian Burchnall almost exactly a year ago.

This potential move could offer Scott Brown another chance at proving his managerial mettle in English football.

Whether it’s with Scottish Championship side Ayr United or English League Two team Forest Green Rovers, Celtic legend Scott Brown appears set to make a return to the managerial world very soon.

His experience and leadership qualities make him an attractive proposition to teams on both sides of the border in need of a new manager.
